I wish I knew why everyone raves about Alvin. I am trying to figure that out myself. I know they have great stats and NCLEX pass rates, but I have never hear anything more than that. I wonder how thier professors stack up. I would love to know why it is so great there, I have only lived here for almost a year and I have heard from many it is the program to be in if you can get accepted but no one has ever said why. HMM riddle me this Batman, off to research while waiting on emails!

I'm an ACC student and my grades just got entered so hopefully we will hear something soon! I am sure they are waiting for grades to be entered and just confirm their choices.

Ok guys. I called and was told by the person who sorts out all applications that they didn't know applicants were being told they would hear something by May 15th and that it is not true. So since they have to go through 300 applications by themselves , we will hopefully hear something by the end of next week.

The most irritating thing is that San Jac is having their mandatory orientation this coming Monday and you are required to purchase all of their expensive uniforms and text packages at that orientation. But for those of us holding out to see if we get into Alvin, that's really tricky because I don't want to spend all that money on San Jac stuff on Monday only to find out that I got into Alvin that Friday. Hmmmm...

I agree! It's not worth the gamble though, if it comes down to it I'm going with San Jac. I might try to go talk to ACC in person on like Wednesday but I'm not sure what good that will do. What are you thinking about doing?

Yup after I said the lady in the meeting said May 15th, they said "well she's wrong." lol it's only one person going through all the applications and I guess it was 300 people this time so they said it'll be way more time than this week. Guess we sit and wait ? Sorry for the ones that have to buy stuff at San Jac

I don't know why it would be the end of next week. Application deadline was April 7th and the packet states we would expect a decision by six weeks. End of next week would be seven weeks.
