Nursing Students School Programs

Is anyone applying to ACC ADN program for Fall 2017?

Hey Tabrea. I was also waitlisted. And like you, I was also surprised. In addition, I was also accepted into HCC's program, along with San Jac's. Congratulations to you, young lady. You're right...we're almost there!

I got accepted as an alternate, which I was quite surprised. Since there are only 40 spots I doubt that 19 people would drop out, yes I am number 19 lol but I am happy to at least be considered for such a tough program. I did get accepted into HCC, so I'll just go ahead and go there and pray to God that Donna Spivey from Lone Star's nursing program has completely changed the program around since she's the new director for HCC. CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT IN! AND TO ANYONE WHO GOT INTO ANY NURSING PROGRAM!! We're almost there!

Hi s&p , I saw your previous threads that you got accepted in HCC SPRING 2017 ADN. May i know the reason why didnt you join ?

It's going well! I've completed everything needed (drug test, shots, physical, blue card, etc) and we have our orientation on December 14th where we will get all the info about enrolling and purchasing our uniforms. I'm so ready to get this show on the road! I know it will be long and hard (there's no Summers off with this program) but I'm totally on board and ready to go!

Specializes in ICU.

I did complete my first semester there this past Spring. I did very well there but the school just wasn't the right fit. They just recently got a new dean so hopefully it's better for the incoming students. You can private message me if you want. I don't want to speak badly about any schools because what wasn't for me may be great for others.

I got accepted. I also got accepted into San Jac and went to their orientation on Monday. I was going to just stay there since I paid for my scrubs and lab kit. I, however, got an email this morning from them about my math not being TSI, which is crazy since it is for HCC and ACC and I got a 98% on my HESI math section. So I need to get this all figured out today. Congrats to all who got in and big hugs to the ones that didn't.

Giners80: You have 10 business days to cancel that insanely expensive and mandatory uniform and stethoscope/lab kit order with Career Uniforms! You'll get a full refund other than the cost of those $10 IDs. If I was in your shoes, I'd gladly return that stuff and jump on board with Alvin! Congratulations! :)

I can't private message you as I am a new member. Txt me 281 673 7208. Thanks

Hello everyone I know this thread is pretty old but I'm considering applying for spring 2018 adn program. Can the people who were accepted tell me what there scores were?

For anyone currently finishing up their first semester!! Can you tell me what the schedule is like? From what it looks like with the class schedule, it looks like the schedule has me in class three days a week. Two being lecture and one being a day dedicated to clinical. Is this accurate?

I ask because I'm trying to delay quitting my job as long as possible and my work is willing to be flexible with me as long as possible. I was an EMT so patient assessment is not totally new, but the class titles are vague so I don't know what subject matters I will be approaching.

You'll find out Friday LOL.

For us we had class pretty much M-Th, usually there by 8:30 (8 on Weds) and got out by 2. You have 4 weeks of clinical towards the end and that is 6:30-12:30 on Wednesdays. Mondays I think we were supposed to get out at 11:30 but had to do a bunch of makeup from the hurricane on Monday afternoons.
