Is anyone applying to ACC ADN program for Fall 2017?

I got an acceptance email from HCC too. LOL Just waiting to hear back from a few more schools. Congrats, Giners80!

Lol! For Spring they gave a date of Monday Nov 14th and sure enough by lunch the acceptance/denial emails were out. So fingers crossed! I got an acceptance email late yesterday from HCC, but hoping and praying for ACC.

Can you please let me know about your HESI score, what is the cutoff to get in HCC

Specializes in ICU.

I'm hoping in 24 hours, we're all happy campers. Sleep well y'all and good luck! And Happy Mother's Day to any mamas out there!

Here's the minimum for HCC:

A score of 80% or higher on each of the

following subject areas is required: A&P,

Grammar, Math, and Reading. A score of 800

or higher is required on the Critical Thinking

section.

My scores:

A&P 100

Grammar 98

Math 94

Reading 90

Critical Thinking 950

Can you please let me know about your HESI score, what is the cutoff to get in HCC

Well today's the day everyone ! Keep your fingers crossed and comment if you get any emails !

:)

Good morning EVERYONE!!!! Man...I can feel the anticipation through my computer screen. I wish everyone the best for Alvin and any other schools you've applied to.

Gonna go workout. If y'all hear anything, chime in! Good luck, future RN's!

Hey! Has anyone heard anything yet? Weirdly enough I just got my acceptance letter to San Jac Central (we weren't suppose to hear back until late summer!) but nothing at all from ACC. I'm super happy that I at least got into school this semester but I'm still hopeful for Alvin.

Good luck all!

Nothing yet over here either. I too just got my acceptance to San Jac Central so super happy, hoping for Alvin as well though. Either way so excited I know I will be in a program this fall! Congrats to you.

Yes! I feel the same way. Congrats to you as well :) we might be classmates this year! Let me know if you hear anything from alvin. We have to respond to SJ by the end of the week so hopefully we will hear soon!

Hi ladies! I also received my acceptance to San Jac today! Good luck to us all who are still waiting on Alvin. :) can I ask you all why you prefer Alvin over San Jac? I am really interested to know of any major program/teaching differences and advantages that you all know of. I love that Alvin has the relationship with Texas Tech that allows you to bridge right into their BSN program, but wonder if there are other advantages. Are they more highly respected by hospitals hiring than San Jac, for instance?

Hi! I'm not really sure about the hospital relationships to be honest, but Alvin is just a highly respected nursing school (not that San jac isn't! It's amazing getting into any program. This process has been humbling to say the least! Lol). Last I heard they were actually nationally ranked and their NCLEX scores are through the roof. I've lived in the area all my life and everyone says it's the best, you go on the floor supposedly even better than some BSN programs. I have a friend one year into Alvin's program and she says that all of the talk is true. Like I said though, we all need to be proud that we got into school bc it is NOT easy getting in these days.

Good to know about the Alvin-Tech relationship! That's really cool, I've always wanted to go to Tech.

Congrats again guys, I'm so proud of us!

Congrats to everyone accepted into San Jac! I was accepted into HCC's program, Alvin is my top choice, but grateful to be starting in the Fall, regardless. We're going to be AMAZING nurses.
