All FSCJ Spring 2013 Hopefuls

Hi everyone! I decided to start this thread in hopes of seeing if there is anyone excited about applying to the fscj RN program spring 2013. I am currently taking a microbiology class this summer. I would have applied for fall 2012 but met with some technical difficulties. I have 206 in total points w/o micro. Let's stay in touch and keep this ball rolling!

I just took it today actually, and it wasn't bad at all. The timing is the most frustrating but everything is very basic, I'd also taken it back in 2010 before I had any prerequisites under my belt so knowing chemistry and micro really helped.

I totally got cold feet & did not take the NAT yesterday. I just froze went numb so now I have too wait a whole term before applying again. I'm so disappointed in myself how did I allow this to happen.

You still have time to take it if you can schedule it this week! Don't give up!

really?? I would login to fscj right this minute and reschedule your appointment this week and just do it. The NAT really isnt that hard and you will regret it even more if you do not give it a try. You have made it this far, so why give up? Go for it!

I promise it is a lot easier than you are expecting! When you have 30 seconds left start randomly answering questions.. unanswered questions will hurt you whereas wrong answers will not. Good luck! and clear your mind before you take it!

You can do it! Stay positive :) remember that they don't expect you to be able to answer all the questions in the time constraints so doing what she said ^ (just guessing at the end) can help your score.

@saldridge - This is why this forum is so important - everyone needs to know that they are not the only ones who feel apprehension and intimidation when it comes to some of this stuff.

I can tell you that the morning of my test, my palms were sweaty and midway through the test I had to take a break and leave the room. It was all my nerves - because like mandeuse said, the test just is not as hard as we build it up to be.

If you are like the rest of us, you won't get a perfect score, but if you are like me, you may be geniunely surprised at how well you do.

@ LPNnowRNhopeful WOW, Thanks for sharing that I just get so nervous because I'm not a good test taker, and I really want to do good being that I have all B's and C's in my prereq's. Thanks alot!

I dropped off my application package today. Now the waiting game begins!! How am I going to keep myself occupied so that I won't think about it everyday ALL day!?!
