Of the 23 other students comprising the group that I entered nursing school with, three of them are men. The class that is graduating at the end of next week I believe has 1 male student, and as far as I know the class immediately behind mine has 1 as well. This is about 60 students (some classes have had students drop), with 6 of them being males; that's only 1 in 10.
So we know that male nurses are few and far between, but how old are we?
The 1 student in the class graduating next week is 28.
The 1 student in the class that entered the semester after mine is at least 30 (a second career-er I believe).
Of the 4 in my class, 2 are about 45, 1 is 40, and then there is me...21.
How old are you guys? How old when you started school?
Just curious.

Just turned 49 here (making a major life change after a 25-year career in media relations/corporate communications). I'm in the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Missour - St. Louis. In our class of 60 or so, 7 of us are guys. Average age in the class, I'd say, is mid to late 20s. I'm far and away the oldest in the class. And I love it!
im 19 and just entered my first semester 2 months ago, there are about 10 guys in my class of 100.. i might be the youngest one there... i will graduate as an RN when im 20, but i really need to get rid of distractions(this is the bad side of being 19), find the best way for me to study and focus more on studying....

theres 8 guys in my class. 1 guy in 50s, 4 guys in middle late 30's, youngest one is 23, and rest late 20s.
as for women, theres 2 in 50yrs, some late 40yrs, and bulk of class is 30yrs somewhere, and other bulk is late 20s.
theres couple that are 20, 21, 22 a definite minority i would say.
there is a difinite age spread.
my class has 70 students.
