After Taking The NCLEX...I Passed My 5th Time!

Published

:heartbeathey everyone,

i promised myself that once i passed my nclex, i would start a forum to help others pass as well! this time the advice i can give is the following:

~keep jesus at the head of your life!

~pray!

~exercise and eat a well balanced diet!

~use multiple nursing resources....i used the following (saunder's nclex review, hurt online review course, exam cram, lacharity prioritization, delegation and management, prentice hall nursing review)!

~set a goal for each day and stick with it!

~when you answer questions go through all of the rationales they really do help!

~make flashcards on the stuff you are not 100% sure on!

~use every moment you have to study, even if it's just going through your flashcards!

~take some breaks, take a morning here and there to reelax your mind!

~study with someone who knows what they are doing!

~believe in yourself, you can do this! :):heartbeat

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!:) knew you could do it, with God,all things are possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Praise the Lord for He is good!!! I'm sooooo very excited for you. You should be so proud of yourself for never giving up!! Keep this strategy throughout all of life!!

Congratulations.

That said. And I certainly hosted a furious debate in my mind about a response...

You took the test 5 times. Let's say you get 5 patients your first day, how many will you "fail"?

From now on, you don't get to fail. You don't get to "pray to Jesus" that you won't error and still expect that you'll end up okay.

This sounds harsh. I know this. I'm not completely cold. But I've seen both sides and I've watched gross incompetence from nurses that barely know what they're doing.

I suppose I just want to say: We're not playing school anymore. Sometimes you only get one chance. With someone's well being in your hands, are you willing to fail again?

Congratulations. It took me 4 times. Never give up. What also helped me, was to look on the computer to see how much nurses made. It kept me motivated to study a little longer.

CONGRATS! i just read this before going to class this morning and even though im not taking my NCLEX yet i am trying to pass the math section in the entrance test this gave me some hope that i can do it since you didnt give up and you eventually passed it...GOOD JOB AND GOOD LUCK!

I have taken the NCLEX-PN twice and failed both times. So I just wanted to say thanks, this gives me hope and makes me feel better about not passing the first time. I am glad you stuck with it and passed! I am sure its the best feeling in the world. Again congratulations

Slobgob, does your life suck that bad that you cannot be happy for someone ? I don't care if the op took the NCLEX over 50 times.... She passed !!! She has been persistent and worked very hard to achieve her license and any patient would be blessed to have her. You have nurses that take their boards once and pass but then kill a patient. OP you hold your head up high and don't pay attention to this negativity. You are a RN and you will succeed. God is AWESOME !

Congrats... Enjoy the moment! I also liked what you said about putting Jesus first. Because with him all things are possible!! God Bless...
