I know this may be looking ahead, but may also provide motivation.... Starting school in 4wks, and was wondering what everyone planned to reward themself with after school was over in 2 years......
I am buying a Cervelo P3 carbon, 4500.00 triathlon bike.....
Not trying to be materialistic, just merely trying to relieve my own stress through hearing others thought of after school....
The week that I received confirmation of my licensure, I rewarded myself with this.
You may be able to see my wife behind the passenger door.
After acquiring the truck, I built up my ultimate bicycle. A 1980's schwinn road bike converted to a fixed gear by my own hands. Its amazing what you can do when you have the time. :-)
Anyway, I thought you would like the bike, since several of you mentioned your desire to have a nice bike. By the way, do yourselves a favor and wait for licensure before going to crazy with rewards.

I bought a brand new fully loaded 2005 Nissan Maxima. I was going to buy a BMW but decided to be more practical. I am also going to Italy for 2 weeks! I need the vacation! I just graduated on June 8th, time for a little R&R!  :balloons:
Hmm, boobs would be totally out of the question since that would just make me want to have sex and we gave that up years ago.
Well I took my wife to Chucky Cheese's for graduating from nursing school (undergraduate), and our honeymoon, and she plans to take me there when I graduate with my BSN (this is also where we go for our anniversary, and birthday presents a scenario that our four year old son approves of). I would say that for something very special like graduating from CRNA school a goal that we will have worked on for well over a decade by that time, well for that I would have to pull out all the stops and make it Chucky Cheese's with a movie or maybe bowling afterwards ( yes I know ladies my wife is a lucky woman).
You're such a romantic! After you get out of CRNA school, you may be able to move up to celebration station!!
About the boob thing, since you're a guy I would pass on that item...
I am in serious need of the 2007 Shelby Mustang that is on all magazine covers lately. All I need to do is promise to replace my wife's 160,000 mile toyota minivan (that will totally be worn out after I graduate).
I would want to go to Europe on vacation again, but my wife wants to relax somewhere like Sandals. I am so "high speed" though...
I finally got in my house this week (at $200 over what I wanted to spend) and my movers brought all my long lost furniture (since 12 March). Everything is falling into place finally! Orientation starts the 15th of August for me :)
Good luck with starting school everyone!
My after graduation present to myself and my husband will be to let him quit his job that he absolutely hates (he screeens slides at a microscope for 8 hours a day..yuck!) and become a stay-at-home dad...we are very excited about this idea! Truthfully, he will probably do something flexible and part-time like becoming a home inspector b/c that is were his real interests are! Oh, and we are going to take our son to Disneyworld and then have another baby!
Holy tartar sauce, the prospect of having another baby in my life would be enough to make me do everything possible to discourage my wife from going to CRNA school! Even now I'm dreading the vacation we are planning to take next summer to Disney world (neither my wife nor son will ride almost any rides, and I refuse to swim without my shirt being a venal fat man who keeps telling himself that someday he will have a sixpack again, and can therefore swim in public.).

I had my boobs done last year and I LOVE them! ( I went from a 34B to a 34D.) I promise, you two won't regret it! Both of you will have to get used to the extra attention, which can be nice depending on who you're getting it from.
