I wanted to start a thread for those of you who have or will apply to ADN programs for the Fall 2011 semester. I have started the process but I have completed my application yet. I am nervous and super stressed. Join this thread so we can vent together. Share our journeys into nursing school.
Congrats to everyone who's gotten their acceptance! Yea!! I'm sure you all earned it. To all those still nervously waiting(like me) deep breaths & a backup plan might help to see you through. I talked to one of the nursing instructors a couple of days ago and finally got her to say my points looked "competitive" for the ADN program. We don't apply until June1st and probably won't know until July. My backup plan is the LPN program then bridge to RN. The stress is killing me! I'm not applying to any other schools because I just don't think I could handle commuting two hours a day. So all my eggs are pretty much in one basket .
Here we go....My schools sends out acceptance letters on April 15. I feel sick every time I think about it. Every time I speak with a faculty member at my school I get a different answer as to what is considered competitive. I am currently running a 3.89 gpa and scored a 97%AD(148 composite) on the NLN. One person tells me that average is a 4.0 and a 99 on the NLN, the other tells me that I and border line competitive and another tells me that my scores are great........Aaaaaaagh! There are no interviews. All grade based.
What do you guys think?
