ADN Fall 2011 Hopefuls!!!

I wanted to start a thread for those of you who have or will apply to ADN programs for the Fall 2011 semester. I have started the process but I have completed my application yet. I am nervous and super stressed. Join this thread so we can vent together. Share our journeys into nursing school.

My name is always spelled wrong too. My whole first semester at school I had to use an email address with my last name spelled wrong! But thank goodness they got it correct on my acceptance letter.

Well my Nursing file is complete! and ill get a letter in the mail telling me when my interview is next week! and then 2-3 weeks after that ill find out if im accepted! so heres hoping!

I'm planning on handing my application to Goodwin College by the end of the week....very anxious, but really excited at the same time!

Hey all! I got a letter from one of the nursing schools I applied to on Saturday. I checked the thickness of it and it seemed like more than one sheet. I sat down and started to open it but my fingers didn't seem to work, haha. So I just started to messily rip it open while trying not to tear the letter inside. I got in! But of course they had to spell my name wrong. I feel like I should be more excited and happy, but I guess I just need to some time to absorb this. Good luck to everyone who is waiting and congrats to those who have already got in!

There were a few other programs I was looking into, but most are full-time day programs. I work full-time, so a nights and weekends program is needed. :)

I've only applied to one school as well. The area I live in is several small towns within 30-60 miles of each other. so each town has one nursing school..and each school utilizes the same hospitals/clinical settings for the most part as each town has only one hospital. The good thing is that we do get to go to a larger city and have clinicals at their hospitals too. Besides the school in my town the closest one to me is a BSN (40 miles away) and I wouldnt of been able to get in until fall 2012 ..and the other ADN's are to far to travel for actual class time.

soooo if I dont get in my options are 1. apply somewhere else for spring or next fall or 2. fall back on my LPN acceptance to a private school..but that cost 10k..which is the same as my RN program..so its $$.

Thanks misstekaboo! Orientation is on May 12. Maybe by then I'll get accepted to a closer school, but if not, I have to rent a room close to the school. Either way, I am so glad that I got into any school at all! :D

Looking forward to hearing more great news on this thread.

I got my alternate letter yesterday.. I was 2.9 points away from acceptance. So i'm keeping my fingers crossed I get called.
