Merry Christmas, I'm happy I found this thread. My kids have passed out after eating tofurky and I can't think of anything better to do than read this website! I am applying to a few ADN programs this fall in addition to a BSN and LPN program. I have a 4.0 in the prereqs for the LPN and ADN programs but stats and organic chem brought me down to a 3.9 because one of the schools I did my prereqs at grades with 4.0=100 3.9=99 3.8=98 so even though it would have been a A+ 4.0 at one school I got two 3.8's instead!

Anyways how many schools have you all applied to for this fall? I'm still working on applications which are all due between Jan 15 and March 15. I don't yet have a CNA certification so that limits the number of schools I can apply to ( I wish I had gotten that done before all the academics!) but luckily some schools only require the certificatioin after acceptance based on grades!

Well take care and good luck to all of you out there.

I applied to a CC that has a night program about 35 minutes away, almost free tuition. Ill find out in april? In september I found out a diploma program in my area offers evenings the first year I applied and was accepted, I would have to find a new job, and go p/t at my current job, get generous financial aid, its an hour plus commute. I was considering two other (for-profit) colleges but decided against huge loans. CNA cert isn't required around here, LPN programs are 30,000+ so that wasn't an option. I'm excited about being accepted to a really good program but the other one would be a lot less stressful for a single mom with a mortgage.

Merry christmas fellow anxious students.

Are you guys ready for Spring Semester? When does your semesters start? First day of classes for me is January 7th.

I am a little scared or intimidated. I have a CNA course to start in March. Its really going to be an eye opener! I have never had a class nor worked in the medical field. I am anxious to see how I will do. Wish me luck! Also, for those of you that have your CNA I'd appreciate any advice.

Spring for my on campus classes start 1/4 I am taking a NAC program and Fundamental Nursing Skills. Having a NAC cert is required by all the community colleges and tech schools around here.

Online/hybrid classes start 1/10 and I'm taking math for society (my second math other than Stats) French 2 and a computer user class. These classes are required by universities for transfer students even though there not listed on the BSN info pages.

I'm hoping I can handle being 2x full time this term. But all this will only happen if I can coe up with a way to pay for daycare for my two kids first!

My classes don't start until Jan 21, English Literature II and Psychology online. Hoping for an easier semester. Going on a cruise next week, and surgery before classes start.
