Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I wanted to start a thread for those of you who have or will apply to ADN programs for the Fall 2011 semester. I have started the process but I have completed my application yet. I am nervous and super stressed. Join this thread so we can vent together. Share our journeys into nursing school.

I am pretty sure you did fine on your entrance exam. We usually sike ourselves out (especially me, I am bad for that). The wait will not be long as long as you have someone to wait with :)

Thanks! But I'm sure we are All are going to stalk our mailman when the time comes.

hey guys..i made a post on the general nursing student forum...if you guys could read it and maybe give me some feedback Id really appreciate it!!!

ADN/BSN/Nurse Residency is the name of it. Really looking into trying to snag a Nurse Residency because I feel it would be the best way for me to transition to a confident nurse...but of course with everything there are challenges and pros and cons that go with it.

Oh no! I bombed my chemistry final today! The good news is I would have to have scored less than a 35 in order to not get out of the class with a C. At this point I'll gladly take a C, I have indeed fallen far from my hopes for an A at the beginning of the semester.

Ok, so I freaked out a little. I didn't fail, I made a C on the final. I have a B in A&P, and a B in Chemistry. I started the semester hoping for A's but overall I'm satisified. I'll be taking A&P 2 and Microbiology when school starts back in January and hoping for an A's in them or at least the best I can score. We don't apply and get accepted until June so I'll be sweating it out till then. Congrats to everyone who did well on their finals or already got accepted!:yeah: For all the rest of us deep breaths! Hope we all enjoy our holiday break and can begin again in a couple of weeks refreshed. Good luck everyone and Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays!:hotchocolate::cookies:

I'll be applying for Fall 2011 at my local CC. We apply in the spring (by March 1st) to be accepted in the fall. Ours is a point system, and I'm right on the edge. The points needed to get in go up and down per number of applicants and the points they have. For this spring it was pretty high with 27 being the cutoff, and I'll be applying with 23-25. I still haven't taken the TEAS, scheduled for Jan 22. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone!!!

Congrats on the grades!! And yes it is time for a break. Make the most of it. I brought me a few Nicholas Sparks books to read. I don't think they will last long. Hope Santa reads my list for more!

thinking I may not go next fall..... leaning heavily towards a BSN program instead which would be Fall 2012..its going to cost me the same amount of money as the ADN when all said and done..and I want my BSN anyways.

3 semesters and I'd have all the general ed requirements completed..I also need my ACT, 40 hour check list for my CNA, and of course the TEAS.

I am on the waitlist too....and should start in Sept 2011....I am tired of waiting already...I just want to hurry up and get going!!

I'm waitlisted for the LPN program, then once I have that, I need to work 1000 hours then I can apply back for the LPN-RN bridge.

In January I start Psych 200, and I still need Chemistry, Microbiology and 2 more maths for the RN bridge pre-reqs.

I am starting to order texts...figured it won't hurt to start reading them.

I have been wanting this for 20 years....now that my kids are in school full time, it's my turn.

Good Luck everyone!
