I wanted to start a thread for those of you who have or will apply to ADN programs for the Fall 2011 semester. I have started the process but I have completed my application yet. I am nervous and super stressed. Join this thread so we can vent together. Share our journeys into nursing school.
You know the exact date, I think that's worse. I was accepted to my back up plan school because they have rolling admissions. My first choice sends out notices mid April-early May, but they are trying to send them out late March this year?? It is a long wait. I have to rearrange my life but after the waiting. I don't think my boss will be able schedule me around school so I need to look for another job or go P/T and find another P/T job for weekends or nights.
Is anyone planning on their BSN after you graduate with your RN? I'll need to work in 3 classes somehow to finish up my pre reqs for the BSN program Im looking at... speech, college algebra, and stats. This spring and summer are already filled up with my last pre req and general ed requirements of the ADN program Im applying too...
I figure I'll have to squeeze college algebra and speech in during the summer between 2nd and 3rd nursing semesters..and then probably stats the last semester of the nursing program. My goal is to start the BSN the summer after I graduate from the RN.

Planning RN-BSN online after a break. My daughter starts college my second year.
I am trying to make my electives work towards a BSN.
I have a resume I'd like an honest review anyone have time?
Our school doesn't mail decisions until the end of May. I asked my instructor if they let you know earlier and she said no. So I will be on my "p's and q's" until then. Its a long wait but with a board like this, you will always have something to talk about while you wait :)
Hopefully, if I am accepted/graduate with my ADN, I want to get my BSN. I have some course already from when I first started my 4 year degree. Hopefully they will transfer. But I want to take a break and then begin to work on it. I am thankful that my little girl is so young (2 years old) because she can see the process I went through and she will understand that you have to work hard in order to make. Trying to giver her someone to look up to.

YEAH!!! This board is great. All of my friends from school started the program this year, and the people applying for the fall I don't know. I feel like I am going through this phase of the journey alone.
:yeah:Good job with your grades. I was supposed to get my grade to date before my Sociology final but it was never posted, and my extra project was not posted on blackboard. I'm a little nervous it's the difference between a B+ and an A-.
When I submitted my application to my first choice school my major was temporarily changed to Nursing, then changed back to Liberal Arts. I have heard that your major could be changed in the system so you are able to register for nursing classes, and sometimes it is before you get the acceptance letter? Not sure if that happens often or at any other schools, but I will be checking late March.
Congrats again Vann!!
Received my last grade today! 3 A's and a B!! I am so happy. My hard work paid off. I can't remember the reason I quit school it the first place...Oh well, I am in here now. I am so happy. Thank you for listening to my vents. One semester behind me and one more to go before I find out if I am accepted to nursing school.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement!!! I appreciate everything!
Now its time to relax and enjoy about a week or two of vacation. Then getting ready for my obstacle for next semester Anatomy & Physiology I, Home Health Care and Nursing Assistant II
We are all in this together. Most of us will not find out until May and some sooner. Just remember that I am here to encourage and uplift. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We don't find out if we got in to our community college program (very competetive for 40-50 spots) until March 22nd. I don't know how I'm going to wait that long!!! I'm going nuts already.
