Actually passed the NCLEX-RN even though PV shown a CC page?

Published

I'm from Louisiana and I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday (4/27/11) at 8 am in Shreveport. When I got home I stumbled upon the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT). I now regret this b/c it's only caused me to have more anxiety than before. The "trick" is as follows:

Sign in at the Pearson Vue website. When your info page comes up, make sure it says "Delivery Successful" to the right before preceeding. Then, click "register" to the left. You will enter some location and school info. Next, here's the "trick": If it doesn't go any further and gives you an error message, then you MOST LIKELY passed. If it continues, letting you enter credit card (CC) info, then MOST LIKELY you failed.

Well, I got the CC page no matter how many times I tried, so according to this trick, I failed. BUT due to anxiety and obsession, I have read hours and hours of ppl's posts on this topic, and there are NUMEROUS positive results where the person got the error message and really did pass the test. I have found a handful of posts where they got the CC page and actually did fail. But then, everyone that has posted something about getting the CC page and actually passing always says it happened to someone they know, not to themselves which makes their statements a bit unbelievable.

If you had the CC page pop up but actually passed, please respond on here. If you found a post where the person passed despite recieving the CC page, please list the link.

I don't want anyone posting on here that they got the "blessed" error message and did pass. Congrats, but there are THOUSANDS of these posts. What makes this "trick" more believable are the ones who got to the CC page and actually passed/fail, or they got the "blessed" error message and they failed the NCLEX. This is what will bust this "trick," and it will shine some truth on the topic giving hope to others like me who exprienced this. I would like to find a trend here if there is any, so please list the time, date, location of taking the NCLEX and which NCLEX exam you took. Was it the RN or the LPN/LVN version?

I will post tomorrow if I passed or not.

Thank you for reading and good luck to everyone!

I was stupid enough to pay $7.95 for the quick results in Feb 2009...failed @ 265. Tried the PVT in July 2009, got the CC page...failed @ 135. Tried the PVT on my 3rd attempt Feb 2011, got the "Our records indicate..." (the good pop-up)...passed @ 75. Sadly, this trick is the real deal. CC page, fail. Good pop-up, pass. All the best to you for your next attempt. You WILL pass!

BTW, I took the NCLEX-RN.

I did fail the test. I was hoping that this was fake, but it's not. Another girl on here took the test on the same day I did with the same type and number of questions. She got the CC page too, and she found out this morning that she did fail. So, yes, I believe that this trick is real.

Ive never seen it not be true, if you have please let me know where u saw this at.

Less anxiety when you look for your official results.

I retook the test yesterday (6-15-11). When I got home approx 2 hrs after taking I did the PVT. Well, I got the good pop up! I burst into tears and started shaking! I could not believe it! Evidently, I have passed! :yeah:

This is not really a "trick" at all, it's just the way how the PV's computer system works.

Good luck to everyone preparing for the NCLEX!

That is an awesome chapter of your life and a testimony of your will, nurse heather, congrats on your RN.

Congrats!!! What were your resources??

Congratulations :nurse:

I just got my "unoffical" results in today and I did pass!

I read my Hurst Review book 4 times. I now know that book from front to back. I read NCLEX-RN Made Easy twice. I made a sheet out and memorized all my electrolyte levels, ABG levels and how to read it, Cardiac marker levels, Digoxin and Lithum levels, Urine Specific Gravity. Be prepared b/c NCLEX will quiz you on these levels.

I did not study any math, b/c I am really good at math and wasn't stressed about that.

I didn't stress about precedures, b/c just remember your ABCs and to monitor for bleeding after surgery.

Also, I didn't stress about the drugs. Just know the categories, like the endings "lol," "mycin," "pine," etc and what foods, teaching you can give to the patients.

Remember, CORE CONTENT! If you can break a word down to it's orginial meaning, then even if you don't know what it is, you will have a good idea of what to look for. Thank God for medical terminology!

Don't try to learn new stuff and stress about stuff you don't know. CORE CONTENT!

Also, DO NOT stress about the time or look at the clock, what number you're on, if the test seems easier or harder. These are all distractors of doing what you want to truely do, and that is focusing on what matters: getting the question right and passing the test! Who cares if you passed at the minimum or the maximum??? NO ONE! If you become stressed or start wondering about other things besides what the question is asking, lean back in your chair, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and refocus! You got this!

These are all mistakes I made when I failed the first time, and this is what I learned by my mistakes. I hope my advise you be of some sort of help!

And don't forget to pray!!

Less anxiety when you look for your official results.

Nope, it was LESS anxiety for me knowing before hand my results by the PV "trick." This is a true and accurate way of knowing the results to the NCLEX. The first time, I was skeptical b/c I didn't want to believe that I failed. But just in case of it being true, I started studying that much earlier. The second time of passing, I did the "trick" and of course, it gave me the good pop up. I was able to sleep at night and relax during the day b/c I knew it was true!

Now, I paid the $7.99 to get my unofficial results to prove to my friends and family that I did indeed pass, but of course I had known this 2 days prior due to the PV "trick."

A week ago, I played dumb by not telling telling her I already knew of this "trick," but a Grambling University (Louisiana) nursing instructor told me about this and how to do it. So, just think, if it wasn't REAL, then why is there testimony after testimony of this and a nursing instructor saying the same??? Don't doubt it! It's is just how the PV system works!

So, to those who are reading this now, looking for answers, this is a TRUE way of knowing your results on the day of taking the test.

Nurse Heather, how many questions did you get on your second attempt? I also took mine on 6-15-11 and got 265 questions and passed. However, I did not do the trick because I wouldnt be able to handle something like that...esp with me not knowing if it was accurate or not lol.
