Acceptance Letters? MGH Direct-Entry Master's in Nursing

Published

Hello!

Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!

It depends if you call the nursing school or office of student affairs sometimes, you can get different responses. They said they were mailing and doing email.

Letters are supposedly going out today and tomorrow. Wishing everyone good luck with their responses this week!

Let us know when you hear!

Thanks for calling! Did they mention sending emails too?

I didn't ask specifically this time. I know that the last time I called, I was told by the school of nursing that they try to do emails, too.

Either way, I hope that we can all finally get some peace by the end of this week with the decision process! :-)

I hear ya. GL!

Thanks for calling! Hopefully we'll all know soon! I can't take this much longer!

I've been hurrying home to my mailbox every day for the past week. No word yet. Hopefully tomorrow?

Do folks know much about the merit scholarships that MGH offers?

Remember when they told us that they were sending out letters on Feb 16th? Hilarious.

Hi! I received an acceptance e-mail from MGH! Good news is on the way, good luck to everyone!

Congrats....thats awesome! See, I knew you'd get good news soon! Looks like no GRE prep courses for us haha. Well, I still might be there....we'll see! On the waitlist at Northeastern and no email from MGH yet...out of curiosity, is your decision also posted on your online application? I know that's how I found my Northeastern decision yesterday

Thank you!! You're good news will come soon! I got in for the Adult/Gero track so I'm wondering if they notify by specialty?? I saw the wait-list info for myself on the NEU site as well but MGH does not have it posted yet. If you get into both do you have a preference?

If I get into both i'd choose Northeastern. I love the school and would love to have both of my degrees from there. However, if I do get into MGH it'll be tough since I don't know when I'll ever hear from Northeastern. I also heard MGH have excellent clinical placements and connections with Boston hospitals. Not to mention, with 24 spots....I'm wondering if the waitlist at NU is even realistic, I guess pending how many people they have on there. What about you? Seems like you have a tough choice to make too!
