Acceptance Letters? MGH Direct-Entry Master's in Nursing

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hello!

Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!

Thank you SingDanaSing! :)

Hi gang!

Can't wait to meet you all! Anyone moving to Boston from the Bay Area?

Hello guys,

Hope everyone's have a great summer, especially if it is full of prerequisites lime mine has been :) i got an email today from a professor who wrote me my recommendation and she said MGH called her today but she missed the call, has anyone else had this happen / could tell me if that means anything good for me? I am on the waitlist for Pediatrics. Thanks in advance -Becca

Hi Becca,

I hope this is good news for you too. I'm also on the waiting list for psych mental health. I called the admission office and the receptionist basically told me to seek other option because they are full. I asked her if I was taking off the waiting list and she said no but there are no chance that they will be taking people off the waiting list. I wanted to cry when I heard that but i held myself together. Have you had ny contact with them. Did you send any extra material to help your chances. Please let me know because i'm very hopeless.

Can anybody offer any insight into the application process for someone who's applying for the next matriculation (2012)? I'm FREAKING OUT!

I took the GRE today and got a 610 math 530 verbal. Is that awful? I'm horrible at standardized tests so I'm hoping the other aspects of my application will be looked at more than my scores.

Also, what did you guys do for the Chemistry Pre-Req? I sent an email but never heard back... do they accept an intro course or must it be Basic Chem? I know it says "some organic" on the website, but it's nearly impossible to take a chem class w/ "some organic" in one semester. Most need 2 semesters of inorganic in order to take organic. UGH!

Thanks for the advice!
