Acceptance Letters? MGH Direct-Entry Master's in Nursing

Hello!

Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!

nothing yet! I have a funny feeling it's not going to be until end of next week....this anticipation is killer.

I've just called MGH, and was told that 'the decisions will be mailed in mid March'. Still, we have to keep waiting. Just hope they could send them earlier.

Has anyone filled out FAFSA yet?

I can't decide if I want to fill it out or wait for my decision and then fill it out.

I called on Friday and they told me that it will most likely be another 2-3 weeks. kind of unsettling given that it was supposed to be mid February and i have other deposits due.

Hey Nikki164 -- I think I know you from the Vanderbilt forum, right? I hear you about MGH. I wanted to know MGH's decision before sending in the VU deposit -- not sure that's going to happen. Are you waiting for others?

hey! yes, I am also waiting from Northeastern. I had a phone interview the other day since I couldn't make it up to Boston and then they were on spring break. I've been accepted to 4 schools, but I am going to send in my deposit for Vanderbilt. I mean, its not anything like Yale's deposit, which is $600, so in the grand scheme of things, $200 won't make a dent in terms of the cost of what the program costs!!! What about you?

Hey Nikki -- Turned down Marquette today. Really wanted to hear from MGH and San Fran before making the final decision but I think, like you, I'm going to go ahead and send the deposit. I'm most psyched about Vandy. What's your first choice?

Just called MGH! Letters went out yesterday! Checked the mailbox (I live in MA) but I didn't get anything today. Good luck everyone!

I just called the Office of Student Affairs who told me the same thing (that the letters were mailed out yesterday.)

Then I called the School of Nursing, who said that the Office of Student Affairs is mistaken. That Merit Scholarship winners may have had their letters mailed out yesterday, but everyone else should hear by the end of this week hopefully, and all candidates will get their decisions by US mail and email.
