  1. To those in direct entry nursing at MGH IHP class of 2014: I was accepted to MGH IHP for the Fall 2011, but defer to Fall 2012. I am excited to start in the Fall, and appreciate if someone in class 2014 could give me a hint how the class schedule looks like. I plan to work 8-16 hrs/week during the semester, do you think it's feasible? Thanks a lot in advance for your information. httleeds.
  2. Golfer27- I do not know about other courses, but for Microbiology they accepted the course I took without lab.
  3. Hi Nurse2011k, It's on April 18. All the best.
  4. I've just received an invitation email from MGH for class 2014 orientation. It will be on Sat, April 9, 2-4 pm: so, the meeting is official:). Cannot wait to see you then.
  5. That's great Choco80. It's very likely that I am going to take the first session (online). It seems much easier than A&P, right.
  6. Choco80- I agree with you, it is so expensive at MGH, even with 50% discount :). The course at BHCC is 4 credits (with lab), at Massasoit is 3 credits (the same as at MGH IHP). I am going to take it at Massasoit. I've just checked with them, and they said there are 2 sessions: one from May 31-June 30, and the other from July 11-August 11.
  7. Thank you so much HugANurse87. I'll check on it.
  8. I have to complete Human Nutrition (for preqs) this summer. Does anyone know where to take the course online other than MGH IHP? Thanks a lot.
  9. Becca, It seems to me that MGH admissions office has not completed sent out their decisions via mail/email. I was just like you last week- really nervous after having nothing from MGH by Friday. I called and emailed admissions office and they said they did not know anything about emailing stuffs, but mails were sent out last week. I then contacted nursing school and knew that i was accepted. I have not received official acceptance letter yet, but i feel relieved. Fingers crossed for you.
  10. Thanks a lot HugANurse87 and BuMan. I did not receive anything from Admissions Office. I emailed Nursing School yesterday, and was told that I was accepted. I was explained that due to an unexpected delay, the Admissions Office will notice me later. I am so excited. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear from MGH. Hope good news is coming soon!
  11. CONGRATS to everyone got accepted! No email for me yet. Just hope they still have a list to send out. Could anyone mind telling me whether the acceptance email was from Admission Office or from Nursing School? Thanks a lot.
  12. I've just called MGH, and was told that 'the decisions will be mailed in mid March'. Still, we have to keep waiting. Just hope they could send them earlier.
  13. HugANurse87- Thank you so much. My fingers and toses are crossed :)
  14. HugANurse87, if you do not mind, could you share with me questions they asked you? My interview is on this Wed. Thanks a lot. Nikki164, be patient. They probably look at the application based on the order of completion, not specialty. I submitted mine 1 week before the deadline. For some reasons, I thought that specialty will be selected after co-op (I did not attend info session, and have no clue), thus in my application i put only 'direct entry nursing' - no specialty at all. I think MGH is looking at our applications. I received an email from admission office last Friday mentioned that they approved some courses that I asked to waive 5-year limit for prereqs. Hopefully we'll hear from them soon. Good luck to you all!
  15. Yes, I was surprised as well. It turns out that NE called my cell and left a message about the interview around 4.30 pm, but I did not check my cell till just some minutes ago.
