Hello!
Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!
httleeds - I actually didn't know the BHCC had a lab, I might be joining you at Massasoit! I might take it online, however, since I need the flexibility. I'm working part-time now in another career, plus I have a daughter in daycare! (It's amazing, I'm taking online classes now through edukan, and I can do the anatomy labs at 11:30 at night when she's fast asleep...)

That's great Choco80. It's very likely that I am going to take the first session (online). It seems much easier than A&P, right.
Speaking of Summer courses...I have to complete A&P I and II this summer (awful, I know...) I'm trying to find a way to avoid quitting my nannying job and thus am looking for online courses but cannot find them offered anywhere! Does anyone have any info of where I could take A&P online?
Hi Psych Lisa - I'm taking them both entirely online through edukan, and MGH accepts it (I called to confirm). EduKan is a consortion of 6 community college in kansas that offers classes online. They have several summer sessions with different start dates. make sure to do a search on these boards for backgrounds on different profs, etc. since I also found that helpful. I'm taking Micro and A&P1 with them now, and will be taking A&P 2 with them starting in the first summer session - the website is http://www.edukan.org
It is also nice that the cost is $125/credit, even when you are out of state. Additionally, your grades appear on a transcript from one of the community colleges there, so it does not appear as if you took your classes at an online school, since they are associated with actual accredited schools in KS.
Hi All, I also posted this on the Boston Direct Entry thread but I'm just looking for any feedback...Here's the post:
Moving is a huge expense and I'm debating it but I have a long commute to work now and I can't see myself surviving a long commute to school. I'm not familiar with the north shore but it seems like the cost of living is somewhat lower there than in the city. Are there any places you would recommend?
Any cities/towns that anyone knows that are close to MGH IHP would be great! I'm so lost!
Just sent it...
Btw, do you guys feel like we should make an MGH Admitted Students thread? I feel like this is turning into that, and I feel bad every time I post something irrelevant here that doesn't relate to acceptance letters, and causes a lot of people to receive an email and come to this site :)
Good luck Emul, it seems like people are hearing back at different times so hopefully you'll get good news soon. I'm not sure of any rolling admissions programs but I bet they are out there!
Choco-Thank you! Also, I think a separate thread would be good, or even a Facebook group, I've seen people on other threads do that in the past.

Thanks so much for the info! I am definitely going to look into. What do you think of the courses? are they fairly challenging? I just want to make sure I can adapt to an online learning style, but it sure beats sitting in a classroom all Summer!

Choco80- I agree with you, it is so expensive at MGH, even with 50% discount :). The course at BHCC is 4 credits (with lab), at Massasoit is 3 credits (the same as at MGH IHP). I am going to take it at Massasoit. I've just checked with them, and they said there are 2 sessions: one from May 31-June 30, and the other from July 11-August 11.
