Acceptance Letters? MGH Direct-Entry Master's in Nursing

Published

Hello!

Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!

HugANurse, after poking around for like 20 minutes, it appeared that i can only receive private messages, but not send them unless i have 15 posts. oh well...)))

I had 1080, not really high, i'm very bad at standardized tests, so i was actually happy with that score.

hey sam722, I'm accepted to pediatrics, too! MGH is the only school I applied to (the only place I wanted to go), so I will be going.

I will be in Miami during the accepted students open house on April 9th, though, so I won't see everyone until September.

I am soooo excited!!!!!

Hey, so did they say that you had been accepted to pediatrics in the email? Because mine didn't. I am still waiting to hear from 1 more school (I pretty much gave up hope on hearing from Northeastern) and then I'm going to make my decision. I am still really excited though. : )

Httleeds- Admissions office as well.

SingDanaSing - Yes, it definitely felt like a rejection! Glad it wasn't :-)

NatSta-Sorry about that!! That was the first PM I've ever sent, we're learning together :-) I'm horrible at them too!!! Our scores might not have been the best but we still got in so I guess that's good!

Has anyone received the letter in the mail yet? I got the email that I'm in for adult/gero- very excited! But curious about merit scholarships?

I received a letter in the mail today saying I've been wait-listed to the pediatric program.

I emailed admissions, and they can't give me any information about how many people are on the wait-list or what my rank is. But deposits for accepted students to hold their spots are due by April 14th, so depending on how it goes, maybe I'll get a call in April.

We'll see!

I have also been waitlisted. Do you know if the waiting list based on specialty. Maybe that is why they dont have a rank. Just Guessing

BuMan-What specialty did you apply for at MGH? I have been waitlisted for the child/adl psych

Thanks a lot HugANurse87 and BuMan.

I did not receive anything from Admissions Office. I emailed Nursing School yesterday, and was told that I was accepted. I was explained that due to an unexpected delay, the Admissions Office will notice me later. I am so excited.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear from MGH. Hope good news is coming soon!

Congrats httleeds!

I got my letter in the mail on Thursday. It didn't say anything about the event for accepted students in April, does anyone have anymore info?

Specializes in Family Track.

I also haven't heard any additional info about merit awards or details about the event on April 9th. I hope it comes in the mail ASAP since it is a huge factor. I am new to this discussion board and am also going to MGH in the fall for the family track. I am so excited to meet everyone so soon :D

So if i haven't gotten a letter or an email from MGH yet, does that mean i didnt get in or i still have a shot? I also havent heard from Northeastern yet and when i emailed their admission office i got a very attitude-filled response. Im gettin very nervous that i didnt get into either because i havent heard!

Becca - have you tried calling MGH yet? It's really hard to tell - if you check out this thread and the boston direct entry one, people heard several days apart (someone said they received the email right after they called to check on their status), so you should definitely follow up with them. GL!
