Acceptance Letters? MGH Direct-Entry Master's in Nursing

Published

Hello!

Does anyone know when acceptance letters will be mailed out for the MGH d-e master's in nursing program? I know it's only been 3 weeks since the January 10th deadline, but I'm sure I'm not the only one biting my nails in the interim. :) I've looked through a few similar threads from a few years ago-- most students seemed to receive letters in early March, but who knows whether their program deadlines were the same. Thought I'd ask the question to get some discussion going. Hope all of us hear back soon! Good luck, everyone!

Congratulations everyone!!!

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!!!! I received my e-mail last night and they said that I have been offered admission into the direct-entry nursing program, but they didn't tell me what specialty I had been accepted to.. I applied for Pediatrics as my first choice, but they didn't tell me anything in the letter in regards to being accepted into one of the specialties. Did anything like this happen to anyone else??

I also got accepted into Columbia, and am really on the fence about whether to go there or MGH.. Is anyone else in the same position? Or could anyone offer me some advice? :o

Congrats again to everyone :) I'm looking forward to the visit day on April 9th!!

check it out! up in the rankings! I am on the waitlist at Northeastern but I think I am going to go to MGH...the more I read and the more I talk to people, I feel like i'd be crazy to pass up a school with such a prestigious reputation and not to mention, from what I hear their focus on improving patient care and preparing students for actual practice is unbeatable.

Don't give up hope, guys - it sounds like emails are still coming in, they are clearly being send out in waves and at random times. I'm thinking good thoughts for everyone...

Huganurse - why are you nervous? You got in yesterday, right?

Choco-I did get in, I'm nervous about the financial aspect and the fact that this is really happening! I'm so excited, just mentally preparing for all of the work that's coming our way haha

yes, same here, it is going to be expensive!

Yes! I live at home now (south of Boston) but I am hoping to move closer to the school, so that's an added expense. How about you? (And everyone else)

Hi all - got my acceptance letter last night so I wanted to come here and "meet" my future classmates, haha. Anyone else apply for Pediatrics?? : )

Congratulations for those that got in!!:)

Quick question, what were your GPA and GRE scores?

Thanks!

YAY!!! So we all got in!?!! Congratulations everyone! This is great!! So excited to meet everyone on Apil 9th, we'll have to tell each other our names on here haha.

I think the question from Nat Sta was directed toward me? Not sure but thank you!!! I chose Family on my application but they offered me Adult/Gero and I accepted. Are you waiting to hear back? Good luck!!

Yes HugANurse, sorry, i'm new to this forum, still figuring out how things work :)

I also got accepted to Adult/Gero too, did you already receive the confirmation/admission letter? I'm waiting for mine. Do you live in Boston? I'm from Chicago and I'm really nervous about moving so far...

Yes! I live at home now (south of Boston) but I am hoping to move closer to the school, so that's an added expense. How about you? (And everyone else)

oh nevermind, just saw this:)) is the housing expensive in that part of Boston where MGH is?

Hi Nat Sta, no problem at all! Congratulations!!

I've only received an e-mail so far. I live outside of Boston, but work in the city. That is a big move but I think you'll love it, and it's a plus that you are already accustomed to cold weather!! :-). Are you deciding/waiting to hear back from other programs before you make a final decision? Congrats again!
