I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.
I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

Finally found this forum as I have been reading the anxieties and hopes of past applicants. I guess it's my turn now. I'm waiting with you guys as well! Good luck to everyone! I'm applying to three other schools, but would love to go here if opportunity arises. Fingers crossed and lets hope for those BIG envelopes in the mail by late April!
Jduds99 exactly what day before the April 1 deadline did you submitted your application? I submitted mine on the 27th and I have not gotten any email form them yet.
I called a couple of time and they said my application was received. Are you a transfer a 2nd degree?
I am a Second Degree Accelerated BSN hopeful. My application literally arrived at NYU on April 1 at 9am, according to my FedEx receipt. I emailed Lindsay Sutton to make sure that my application was received and she wrote me back saying yes and that if anything else was needed from me that the admissions committee would let me know. You may try e-mailing her, but I have a feeling that if they have my application on file, than they certainly have yours.
Like they say, "Long time listener, first time caller". I've been following this thread for months now and all you guys have been extremely helpful throughout the process. I also have applied to the Accelerated program under priority admission so I too have been patiently waiting for some sort of news haha. I'm from So-cal as well, so it's comforting to see other people dealing with the same stresses of potentially moving across country, and so I think a facebook group might help put people at ease. Let's hope we hear soon. End of April will be here before we know it.
Joel I sent my app about a week before you, called NYU and someone assured me all was well but they didn't see the need to take my name and really check. I've had no NYU email either, emailed admissions lady and she gave me a general number to follow up, which I did. Going to have to make some calls tomorrow, I have a bachelors degree in music and no pre reqs so I'm a transfer student I guess
If people call tomorrow, will you please let the rest of us know what they say? I have already emailed a lot of times and I don't want them to get annoyed. According to the website, April 4th is the day we are allowed to call about decisions, is this correct?

I too have been following the post on here for a while. I am actually applying as a transfer into the traditional nursing program but I did turn in my application by the priority deadline so I figured I would recieve notification about the same time as the rest of you guys. I have been completely confused about when we are supposed to find out. I called friday and 1st a girl told me I'd find out late april-may but then I called back because I forgot to say that I sent it in before the priority deadline and another girl told me that I was supposed to find out this weekend and if not to call tomorrow. I just dont understand why they even post it on Albert saying that ALL decision would be sent April 1st if it doesn't apply to us too. They should of at least said all freshmen decisions or something. But I guess we'll see.
