ABSN UMASS Amherst 2017

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm making this thread to see if anyone else is applying to Umass Amherst for fall 2017 acclerated nursing program?

Cngrats to everyone that got in

Just got an acceptance email!!! WAHOO!

Yes I definitely am. I went to Umass for my undergrad and I'm looking forward to checking out the Springfield buildings.

Should we start a Facebook group...? Do people do that anymore??!

I just got an email with acceptance news!

Definitely start a Facebook page! Comment the exact name of the group here so people can see it- also people who don't check this site will start requesting to join!

Also, up to you guys but last year we allowed a previous student to join our group and answer questions, post textbooks and various nursing items the class before was selling etc! I'm major procrastinating all the work we have to do before spring break (get ready for spring semester- it's rough) so I'm happy to help!

Great! Thanks for the heads up! I need to "add a friend" in order to make a group. Any volunteers to give first and last name and I can try to find you and add you to the group??

Hi All - I made the FB group (Added a friend of mine not going to UMass so that I could make the group and will kick her out once people join :) )

UMass Amherst ABSN 2017-2018

I am looking forward to meeting/chatting with you!

So I think the question a lot of us (me included) are wondering is...if we didn't receive any emails, should we assume we weren't accepted? Are they sending out decisions in batches? Is there a waiting list? Trying to stay positive, and congrats to everyone who got their decision!

Has anyone received any regular mail with admissions decisions at this point?

I received my envelope in the mail today. It was post marked march 4th!

For anyone previously in or having finished the program: Can I please get a break down of classes per semester? I see that this program is 17 months. Does this mean that the classes are set up in a good structure? considering other programs are 12 months. Please advise, because I am trying to weigh my options in terms of affordability and being able to manage being in a full time program.
