So, I would really like to get into UMass Amherst for there 2015-2016 cycle, so I will be sending in my application soon for there February 2015 deadline.
I'm just wondering if I even have a chance since my Bachelors in Biology overall GPA is a 2.99, then I took a summer course (Microbiology) at a community college and received an A. Hopefully that'll boost my GPA up for my degree?
I also have over 2,500 hours as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and I've studied abroad in England/Ireland for a Biology course.
This is my number one school that I would like to get into too, I was just wondering other peoples statistics on their GPA average, GPA for their pre-reqs, and if anyone has been or is in the program can tell me about it?

(for ex. 3.6?) If I retake a prereq, do they average out the two or pick the highest grade of the two? Thanks so much in advance! Congrats to all accepted!! :)

My GPA for the pre-reqs is 3.44 and my overall is I believe 3.8. I have a Bachelor's from UConn in Dietetics and I have worked as a registered dietitian for 4yrs. Never retook any classes though. I hope this helps
Hi all! I am also interested in applying for the Umass ABSN for the year 2016. My prerequisite grades are a 3.7, but I still have to take Human Development through the lifespan. My cumulative GPA is a 3.5 from the two colleges I have attended. Did anyone get in who had similar stats? I am graduating from Umass this spring with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Thank you Yurany and bex177!! It gives me some hope when applying because I didn't realize that umass is such a competitive school until I found this forum.
@Kscalum14 and to anyone else who has been accepted! I made a Facebook group for those of us who have been accepted and will be attending UMass's ABSN program this August so we can all meet and share any info before the program starts! It's called "UMass Amherst ABSN 2015-2016".

The acceptances come in a regular size envelope...my daughter got hers today and she had her interview last Wednesday !!!!
