I just wanted to start a topic for applicants of 2012. I've been going through forums trying to find an applicant in my situation, but I have not been successful so far. I figured by starting my own topic, I can get some feedback. :)

In a quick summary here's my status:

Completed applications so far: NJCU, SHU (Georgian Court), PACE Univerisity

BS Biology 2009 GPA 3.3

Medical Assisting Diploma 2011 GPA 4.0 (Certified as well; now working as CMA w/ lots of clinical experience already)

HESI Score 88, Class avg 83

Hi! Good to hear from a fellow current applicant. I also applied to NJCU, the Wall campus. which campus did you apply to? My credentials are:2.9 GPA, BS in Nutrition, 93.67 on HESI, ER Volunteer... Hope that will be good enough, I want this so bad!The wait is going to be brutal.

P.S. How did you retrieve the HESI scores in that format? (With the class averages for each section) My account only shows the overall average if 83.

my exam didn't have a nutrition part...As for the detailed scores, when you view the overall score there should be a + sign next to the name of the exam...when you click on it it'll have a drop down of your scored sections.I also am burning on the inside for an njcu acceptance :(

Oh wait I read your statement wrong, you have a bs in nutrition lol oops. That's awesome by the way! Nice score on the hesi too. Maybe if I actually studied I would've scored higher :( oh well lol

I hope it will balance out my low GPA! Did you apply to Wall or JC Cohort?

I applied to JC :)

Does anyone know how many people applied to Wall? I think we are supposed to hear by beginning of April.

I have 3.03 in Political Science, a law degree from Rutgesr ('87) and a B average in my prerequisites. I got 90 on the Hesi.

Good luck everyone!

No idea how many applied.. Not as much activity on these boards as there has been in previous years, could be a good sign but who knows. I hope we do hear in early April. Good luck to you!

Christina,When you log in to the file manager, do you see any files uploaded? Currently my file is empty... I'm sure it takes time for them to upload everything but I am just curious. Thanks.

I don't have a file manager yet. They left me a voicemail on Friday asking for my email (probably couldn't read my writing!) so I could acess it but I haven't receieved anything yet.

C333 you're right about the acitvity on this board - maybe your theory is right! When I went to the informational session in Wall (end of January?) the speaker said they had 60 applications but that the majority come in closer to the deadline. Are you applying to any other schools? NJCU is my first choice by far. I finish my prereqs May 7th (only A&P left). Are you done with yours already?

Thinking positive thoughts for us all!

Hope you enjoy this beautiful day.

Interesting... So we can assume at least about 150 applicants- that is a lot for 28 spots! I am also thinking positive but at the same time trying not to get my hopes up incase it doesn't work out. I have finished all of my pre-reqs and I also applied to Wagner in Staten Island but NJCU is top choice. I will post on here if I hear anything although I'm sure that won't be for some time! Good luck again, hopefully we will be classmates in May :)
