I just wanted to start a topic for applicants of 2012. I've been going through forums trying to find an applicant in my situation, but I have not been successful so far. I figured by starting my own topic, I can get some feedback. :)
In a quick summary here's my status:
Completed applications so far: NJCU, SHU (Georgian Court), PACE Univerisity
BS Biology 2009 GPA 3.3
Medical Assisting Diploma 2011 GPA 4.0 (Certified as well; now working as CMA w/ lots of clinical experience already)
HESI Score 88, Class avg 83

Well, the class average (for Wall and JC applicants) is 83. So out of the combined group there must have been quite a few who didn't make the cut. I'm pretty sure applicants with below an 80 aren't considered. The schedule of courses is posted at njcu.net - njcu Resources and Information. This website is for sale! click on "view undergraduate master course listing" towards the left, then click "summer I 2012". Accelerated-off campus courses would be our scheduled courses if we get in. A little premature but having an idea/heads up is good!!!
Ohhhhhhhhh I didn't understand the significance of the 83. Is that the average of all applicants??? We could do confidence intervals on this and really get this board hopping!
At the information session, the speaker stated that she had never heard of anyone with a score of less than 80 being accepted. I was also told that JC is more competitive so their applicants might have higher HESI scores.
Thanks for the info on the links!
I remember the application requiring that you state whether you were applying to the Wall or JC cohort. The information speaker said that decisions would be made beginning first week of April so we are going to find out SOON. In the meantime, if I do (hopefully please!!!!) get in, I haven't done any of the things I was going to - organize my house, exercise everyday to build-up endurance (and to lose weight), set up a primo office to work in, and on and on. I did manage to book a vacation to Punta Cana and I think I return on 4/18! It will all get done somehow and everyone says you don't have a life for a year anyway.
Sweet dreams.
Hello all,
I am also applying to the Fall 2012 cohort at JC. I have not received an email with File Management user id and password yet. I contacted Samantha and she responded that we should get them no later than next week.
As far as admission decisions... I read on previous boards that we won't hear anything until about July... Wow! At least we can look to each other for support during this dreadful waiting... =)

I was going to the same about being about being classmates but I'm superstitious - glad you said it first. I wonderful if all of the applicants got over 80 on the Hesi, I would think not and they seem pretty strict about not taking a lower score.
Its fun to angst anyway.
Take care
