Hi All!
I have decided to take the plunge and leave my career as a mental health therapist to gain a BSN in Nursing and hopefully move straight into MSN program. Is anyone else applying to Duke in the Fall??
Hi Guys!!
My interview date is February 5th. I am very excited to explore Durham and Duke. I am a little nervous about the interview, any advice or suggestions would be wonderful. This is my first interview for grad school. I live in Tempe, AZ so this will be a exciting adventure. Have a great weekend
Hi All,
I just found this site and am excited to read about others who are applying to Duke as well. Everyone seems so excited and nervous...me too! I am going for my interview on Feb 5th. Is anyone else on here going to that one? I still haven't gotten an agenda from the school yet. Any advice from those who went for their interviews yet?
I look forward to talking to you all more!
Amy
Thanks Jason,
Maybe we'll meet in a few weeks. I'm not too nervous just yet, but as it gets closer I'm sure I'll start feeling the worry like everyone else.
Where has everyone found out information on the tuition reimbursement program? Does anyone know how that works and how you apply/get that and what all is entailed?
Thanks
Aim~
What I've heard about the Tutition Reimbursement, is that it is 11K per year (up to three years) that you work for Duke Hospital after graduation. The money is taxed though... so it's prob more like 8K per year..that actually gets applied to your debt.
not a ton of info- but that's the general picture.

I'd say a little over half of us wore suits. Definitely bring or wear comfortable shoes for the tour. My feet were killing me when we finished. Luckily, my group toured last! Make sure you have a watch too. I forgot mine so I had to keep asking for the time when it came time for the actual interviews. Good luck! You guys will do great. The other interviewees were all very supportive too. I met some very nice people. It was fun learning about everyone else's backgrounds. Everyone had so many different experiences. :)
