  1. I'm in too! Yay!!!!
  2. I thought the interview went well. But it is hard to tell because the questions were all so broad. I guess its just a matter of whether what I said is what they are looking for. If it's meant to be its meant to be. I did get the idea that jobs right now are harder to get, but during one of my interview sessions I asked about that, and the faculty seemed to think that in a year or so the economy should help stabilize job openings. They have had a lot of part-time nurses start to work full time, people holding off retirement, and coming back from not working. That has put a pinch on jobs, but they think that should stabilize and there will be more opportunities by the time we get close to looking for jobs. She also said that those students that were really good on their clinicals and good at interviews had jobs, it was more of those who were not the best at all of their skills and didn't interview well that were struggling to get jobs. The faculty seemed to indicate that I shouldn't worry too much about that.
  3. During my interview today, **** mentioned that they would meet next Friday and probably make decisions by the middle of the week after that. Sorry for all those who are so anxious. I really enjoyed the day today, except for the financial aid part when I started thinking about how much this could cost me. 80K is a lot of money. But I know it is an investment, and I could earn some back when I stay at Duke....but still.
  4. One more question about the tuition reimbursement... Does everyone qualify for that if they stay and work at Duke after? Or is it something you have to apply for and get accepted? Doing the math, that money helps, but it sure won't wipe out your loans. But I'll take whatever helps!
  5. Thanks Jason, Maybe we'll meet in a few weeks. I'm not too nervous just yet, but as it gets closer I'm sure I'll start feeling the worry like everyone else. Where has everyone found out information on the tuition reimbursement program? Does anyone know how that works and how you apply/get that and what all is entailed? Thanks
  6. Hi All, I just found this site and am excited to read about others who are applying to Duke as well. Everyone seems so excited and nervous...me too! I am going for my interview on Feb 5th. Is anyone else on here going to that one? I still haven't gotten an agenda from the school yet. Any advice from those who went for their interviews yet? I look forward to talking to you all more! Amy
