Every since I changed my major to Nursing, my life suddenly changed in its own little way. One night I was on the phone with a friend who is now a graduate MLT (medical laboratory technician) and told me all of the color codes in the hospital where his clinical site was. There were 14 colors and I memorized every one of them by heart in less than 2 days. Recently, I was going to a tutoring session and I happened to come across a building where most of my classes were held and I saw a stack of books on the ground all out in the open for the public to grab and go. I first saw the basic books like psychology, chemistry, etc. AND THEN I SAW NURSING BOOKS. A PATHOPHYSIOLOGY TEXTBOOK, A LAB MANUAL FOR MEDICAL-SURGICAL, VOLUME 1 & 2 OF NURSING FUNDAMENTALS, AND A POCKET OB/GYN NOTEBOOK PAD. They were ALL the books I need for nursing school in that particular stack. Best believe that I took all those books knowing how EXPENSIVE nursing books are. Could those books be a legit sign that the field of Nursing is the path I need to follow? Did I make the right decision of becoming a Registered Nurse?

No I don't believe in signs. This is like a nurse saying "oh I dropped my glove and it landed right on your appendix. That must be what's wrong with you, I'll tell that to the doc" who would laugh at him/her. Thank God nursing is founded on evidence-based research and not whims and fancies. If you want to be a nurse, you're in the right place, no signs necessary.

Hang on, did you attempt to find out who the books belonged to before you took them? Or was there a sign saying "free to a good home"?
Yes I did attempt to find someone but I go to a university and I didn't know any one who is a nursing student in the program. And I'm not going to waste my time going to everyone who I think could be in the nursing program to see if they lost their books. If anything those books would've went into the book donation box here at my school so in a way of common sense, there was a sign saying "free to a good home." I found the books around May of this year so they could've tried to get rid of the books because they either graduated or they changed their major to something else. I found them on a Sunday and the building was closed on Sunday. They could've returned the books to the bookstore got some money back from them but it was all out in the public so people can easily get them. They should've waited til Monday to return those books if they really wanted to get money off of them like most people will do. I guess they was so desperate to get rid of them or otherwise they wouldn't do that.

I'm not even going to touch the book subject. Yikes.
You think that memorizing the codes at a local hospital is a sign from God?
Doesn't sound like a sign from God to me

You stole a pile of books you found on the ground? Doesn't sound particularly "spiritual" to me.
And, no, that is not a "sign from God."
Also, the TOS of the site require that you not use any titles or credentials you haven't earned -- like using "nurse" in your user name when you're not a nurse.
Best wishes for your journey.

No you did not because nurses need a high level of integrity and the ability to critically think. You seem to possess neither of these attributes. You took something that did not belong to you and made excuses, weak ones at that, for it. I am appalled that you actually think what you did is okay. You could have dropped those books off at the school of nursing office and anybody with half a brain could have figured that out. I don't know what kind of "spirit" drives you but whatever it is you need to find a better one.

I thought for a moment my ethics were just too "high and mighty" when I was thinking OP just walked off with someone else's expensive textbooks and thought they were a gift from god!
Boy! People sure see what they want to see. Memorizing meaningless colors even. This sounds like some kid's letter to Santa.
What happens when some patient leaves their wallet or cell phone all out in the open on an overbed table for the public to grab and go? It's gonna take a lot of self control to not assume it was left there by god for me to find.
