Anyone else taking A&P for summer 2006? I was hoping maybe we could create something similar to A&P (winter/spring) club.

If I can get brave enough, I may take it online for the summer 2 semester. No one wants to teach in the summer anymore. :o I have never taken a class online, but it may be that or a long break, and I really dont want to take one. I am wanting to apply next Spring. I know the instructor that is teaching the onine class, so I might do it.

I am taking A&P 1 the first summer semester (we just started class yesterday) and I am taking A&P 2 the second summer semester. I think that starting a club would be great...we all can use help. I hope that your classes go well. :)

I am taking a class at Norethern Virginia Community College that is a two-course series combining A & P and micro-biology.

I have set up a forums for people in the class. I've been posting the instructors notes with links I have added to sites I find on the web that explain the topic well. Feel free to take a look: guests can view but not post.

BTW- I justs et this up yesterday, so there's more to come!

thanks poohsdw. I'm also taking A&P II in the second summer session.

A&P in the summer is said to be a challenge. Atleast i'm not alone in this. I hope everything goes well for both of us. My class starts next week. keep in touch.

I'm taking A&P this summer. I'm really excited about it. Hopefully I won't pass out from seeing too much guts/gore though. I'm really looking forward to the class though since I'll learn all about the human body.

I'll also be taking AP2 this summer...a 6 week course starting at the end of June. I'm wondering just a tad about the sanity of doing this, but I'm gonna try to pull it off! Looking forward to this thread, good luck everyone!

I am taking A&P 1 starting June 5th. through June 30th.then A&P2 July 10th through August 4th. I have heard they made A&P very hard to weed out the applicants for the nursing programs. This class will be my first class in 34 years and I am very nervous. I would love to have a support club as I need all the help I can get! Good luck with your classes.

Donna ;)

i borrowed the below information from the a&p (winter/spring) club. (with permission from princess74) it looks promising. again thank you princess74 and good luck to everyone.

other ideas (posted in other threads):

  • make your own flashcards!
  • if you are not familiar with (or have forgotten) chem, check out an into to chemistry book
  • utilize your school's study lab, or open lab times, if offered.
  • take pictures during labs!

I will be taking A&P I this summer. Classes start in about a week. My class is a 10 week one, so I can only take the A&P I instead of both A&P I and II.

I took Lifespan (Psychology) 2314 in the minimester and made an A. It was supereasy. 1st semester of summer is College Algebra, 2nd semester is A&P II. I'm taking Fitness Walking online for the long Summer session and begin CNA classes (Saturday classes) the third week of June. Next Wednesday, I take the CPR for Healthcare Workers class. I am trying to finish all pre-reqs by the end of December so all I'll have in the fall is Diet & Nutr and Microbiology.

I have finished my first week of a&p. Not too bad, thus far. Instructor tells us to use all resources available to us on the internet. She talks about how competitive nursing school is and the importance of getting an "A" in a&p. I really like her. The book we are using is Hole's Anatomy. I have been doing the study guides on the hole's website at www.mhhe.com/shier10 this seems to help. We meet 2 times/week and cover 1 chapter per class. I am studying chapter 3 all weekend regarding cells for Tuesday's class. Lots of "stuff" in our cells! Good luck to all of us and may we survive summer!
