My professor only curve our lecture exams... for the lab practicals, he drops the lowest one since we are unable to make them up. I am at 96 right now. I have my finals next week. It is over the nervous system/brain/spinal cord.... so much info. Hopefully I do not bomb the test and bring my grade down to a B. I am worried about A&P 2... I heard from students taking it now that we have to do a lot of case studies for the lab part. Scary!!!
There's a reason my professor curves...she needs to in order for the class to have a decent average! (She considers a decent average to be 75%).
My professor apparently doesn't take that into consideration. Last semester for A&P I we had 72 students in our class. This semester for A&P II we had only 48, so that means we had about 20 students that made a D or below:(
Without the curve in my class, probably 3/4 of the students would be failing...and my professor can't have that because she would get in crazy trouble for having a failing class...so as I said...there has to be a curve. And also, she doesn't do extra credit really. I think there have been 5 points total, and it gets added onto your tests.

This is just ridiculous, for there to have to be a curve if 3/4 of the students are going to fail, the teacher isn't teaching very well, or he/she is making the tests near impossible.

We just finished muscles and nervous system. We're using Martini's book - we're a bit behind since my prof was out for over a week last quarter, so we're catching up. We're covering the entire nervous system (we've got a while to go, unfortunately), special senses, endocrine system, and reproductive system this term.
