A&P 1 Spring 08

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi y'all! Anybody taking A&P 1 this coming spring semester? I'm trying to get as many pre-req's out of the way as possible and could use a study buddy or 2! Thanks! :)

We were supposed to have our first lecture exam tonight, but the campus shut down for bad weather :( Now I have to worry about this test even longer! lol

I am so sorry to hear that, I wish you luck and if at all possible try & relax a little I am sure you will do great on your first lecture exam:wink2: My first lecture exam is Febuary 28th and I am so nervous I just hope that I can get at least a C but I really want a A or B so I will have to study my you-know-what off for the next two weeks!!!! Keep us posted ok!!!!

Hey everyone!

First time posting on this particular thread, but my first A&P I exam is tomorrow, and I'm definitely a little nervous. I was wondering if you could wish me luck!!

:plsebeg:

And, good luck to all the other students out there about to take their tests, too.

We can do it! :yeah:

well it's 'reading break' so we get the week off for lecture and lab BUT midterms are coming up soon- there is always something to study for in this course!

Any good websites to help learn bone formation? or any tips? I'm finding it pretty difficult to remember

Good luck!!! You'll do great!!!

UPDATE: My test went pretty well last night...100 questions and only about 15 that I wasn't sure on. Hoping for an A! Many thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and helpful!

Good luck!!! You'll do great!!!

Thanks, Katie.

I just got my grade back, 98.97%!!! Woo!! I love it when studying pays off. And don't worry about yours. I'm sure your A is on its way!

Just took my first exam on Monday night..it was over Cells,Tissues and Integumentary system. I feel pretty good about it, except for a couple of the tissues that I probably misidentified at the end. If I had to bet on it, I would think I probably pulled a B on this one. Even if I get an A or B, there is no time to relax...we have a HUGE test on the Axial/Appendicular skeleton in two weeks. Sixty percent of that exam is identifying bones and their landmarks.

Specializes in MICU - CCRN, IR, Vascular Surgery.
Thanks, Katie.

Congrats, that's awesome!

Had my first Lecture & Lab test on Saturday(both class on same day-fun) got an A on the Lecture & a B on the Lab. I wanted an A on both but I want complain!:yeah:

Hey Guys !

Any advice on what I could study before I start taking A & P 1 (again) or A & P 2. I took them 25 years ago and have to re-take. :icon_roll I want to take them in the fall so please let me know how I can help myself get a leg up on these classes. I want to do some heavy studying/prep for these classes in the summer. :coollook: I know it is alot of memorization, but any info would help !! What were the first portions you were tested on ? The toughest portions ? If you had it to do over what would you have studied beforehand ? I know The A&P's are scrutinized by nursing school admissions. :uhoh21: Thanks loads !

Got my grade back for exam 1 and I got an 87. On one hand I'm annoyed because I studied very hard and wanted an A, but then again the class average was a 71 so I guess I came out on top. Hopefully I can bust my @$$ even harder next time and get an A!

That's a great grade, especially for the first test ! :yeah:

Hey!

If you know what textbook you are going to need you could get it early and start preparing- although you may not cover everything in your textbook so I'd stick with the basics like learning all the bones and the anatomical planes first. You have a lot of time to study so maybe try to find someone who has taken the class before you to figure out what you cover in the course.
