Hi y'all! Anybody taking A&P 1 this coming spring semester? I'm trying to get as many pre-req's out of the way as possible and could use a study buddy or 2! Thanks! :)
Advice please:oWe just started with the tissues yesterday. My proffesor said not to memorise the tissues in the books because we might memorize and label the tissue's wrong. How do i do this?how do i study tissues
My first lab tissue test (50 pts) is in two weeks along with my first lecture test that will be worth 100pts.
How do you study tissues, any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.
The way I try to memorize tissues is to break it down into what they look like (simple or stratified? squamous, cuboidal, or columnar? for epithelials, what the matrix and collagen fibers look like for ct), where they are typically located in the body, and what they do (protection, secretion, shock absorption, etc). I look at the pic examples in the book so I have a general idea what it will look like under a scope, and then make flashcards. Tissues are rough though, I hate them too!!! Good luck to you, it'll be ok!
I'm liking the tissues chapter so far actually. We have our first quiz tomorrow, through epithelial tissues. I've never studied for just a QUIZ so much in my life! lol
I've been working through my flashcards for all 4 chapters so far for our lecture exam, and so far, I've beaten chapter one backwards and forwards, so woohoo!
Yikes, I did my quiz yesterday and although I haven't gotten it back it was so much more specific than I thought it would be! Ex. drawing out dipeptide bonds and such oh well, I must have passed it so I'm not too concerned but that was the end of my great-streak... but we're DONE chemistry now so we're on bones (yes!)
good luck with your exam Knorremeisje!!
