Share why your current job sucks and what you hope will be different in nursing!
My last job was a soldier. It just wasnt for me. I deployed to Iraq and hated it. Want to talk stress, I dont think there is anything more stressful then worrying about your life, being thousands of miles away from your family, and doing a job you hate (truck driving). I got out and decided to go back to college to find a new career, and that is when nursing "found" me. In the Army I had stability, paycheck every two weeks (not that it was anything to brag about), healthcare, but it just didnt make me happy, so I hope nursing will be more enjoyable for me.

Nursing Admission Essay
Honestly, I would take a different route. Everyone has someone in thier family with an illness, and that doesnt mean they will be a good nurse, or if nursing is right for them. Also, I was always under the assumption thats nurses dont diagnose.

i need 2 more classes...any suggestions?
I have to agree. Being Bi-lingual will only help you when its time to get a job....brushing up on math is a good idea as well. Our school offers Critical thinking which I was told by my advisor is a good elective to take. A few more I can think of- sociology, womens studies, religion, and cultural studies.

Note taking question

Do Nurses STILL want to marry Doctors?
I would never marry someone based on thier job, status, or income. I married a soldier. He is gone all the time, gets crappy pay, yet I love him with all my heart.

Things you would LOVE to say to your nursing instructors...
hey, you dont know that persons life thats not fair to judge. In the real world (outside school) there are going to be tons of distractions and you still have to perform. I know my husband is going to korea and if I get a call (granted my phone would be on vibrate) I would step out to talk to him, and raise hell if I got any crap about it. That person could have sick kids, or whatever thier case may be.
