  1. I just found out about Spoon River, but wasn't able to see any other information about them besides the fact that they offer a CNA program. I'll have to give them another look. Thank you so much for the reply. :nuke:
  2. I've searched this forum for my answer, but I was unable to find exactly what I was looking for...maybe because the answer I want doesn't exist. :) Here's the deal: I am applying to get into the ADN program at ICC for the Fall of '09. I couldn't apply any earlier because I didn't have my Chemistry. So, in the meantime I thought I would get my CNA and start getting good work experience. I had planned to sign up for ICC's summer CNA program. Instead, I was offered a registrar position at a local hospital and felt that this new job would be a good intro into the medical world. Well, a couple weeks into the job, and I'm really regretting the decision to skip the CNA program. Finally, for the actual question: Since ICC's CNA program for the summer is closed, and I'd like to start a program ASAP, does anyone know of any other (good) programs offered in the central Illinois region? I would be willing to drive a little, but I know that Heartland's program is also full. I feel as though I've done about all the online searching that I can do, and I wanted to enlist the help of some of you who have maybe been through this and can give me some suggestions. I really appreciate all your help in advance. :) Thanks!
  3. Hey Heather, sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I'm still taking the pre-reqs. I would have been able to apply over the winter break for Fall '08 program, but I needed Chemistry. Grrr... Haha, oh well. Bones? We get into bones in the first few weeks of next semester. Now we're doing the Kreb cycle. Yuck. :) Good luck with the bones. There's a lot of helpful tips on here to help with that. If all works out, I'll finish up all of my pre-reqs and then apply for Fall of '09. I'm thinking about getting my CNA over the summer so that I can get some good experience before I get into the program. Also, we've got a point-based admission, and the CNA helps a lot. :) Have you decided on a school/program?

  8. Hey everyone! First time posting on this particular thread, but my first A&P I exam is tomorrow, and I'm definitely a little nervous. I was wondering if you could wish me luck!! :plsebeg: And, good luck to all the other students out there about to take their tests, too. We can do it!
