Decided to go ahead and create a new thread...
I am taking A & P II at Valencia Community College in Orlando FL. We start May 12th...
I am an Online ASN Student at Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis. I have taken a leave of absense for the summer so I will only be focusing on A & P. Guess I am not really a pre-nursing student, hope no one minds.
I am looking forward to sharing experiences!

You guys are scaring me about micro. I'm taking it this fall and was REALLY hoping it was going to be easier (less work) than A&P.
LOL yeah me too. I have already looked over my class supplements and all i can do is groan. I *love* A+P and Micro just looks...well...UGH to me. I'm taking it in the fall as well. Last pre-req( thank god!)

I was planning on taking it along with ethics. Neither micro nor ethics are pre-req's, but they are required within the RN program. They are the last 2 classes I have left to take other than the actual nursing classes. But if micro is going to be another serious time-consumer, I might not want to take the ethics with it. I'm sure ethics will be a breeze, it's just a time issue.

Well, my MicroSUX is an 8-week course, and I'll probably get a B. I'm sure I could manage an A in a 16-week course. If you're taking it in the fall, I'm sure you'll be fine. :)
How's everyone's A&P 2 coming along? Anyone finishing up tomorrow?

I think it wouldnt have been so dreadfully terrible to me if I had taken A&P first . Alot of info in A&P and Micro are similar. I realized in A&P that Id be in lecture and Im like 'Wow! I know that from Micro. I didnt think I got anythng out of that class except for a headache
'
I think youll have an advantage being you took A&P first. Dont be scared. Itll be fine. :)

First exam tonite :uhoh21: Im not what you would called prepared. We'll see what happens. I got about 9 hours before class but minus 6 hours off of that until I get done work and that leaves me with 3 hours. 3hours minus the fifteen minutes to school and thirty minutes for meeting with nursing school to see if I can start next month instead of next year and that equals approximately 2 hours left to study.
PLEASE wish me luck Ima need it. (I did study over the weekend and alittle Tuesday but last nite was a total nothing done. I went to class at 6p (after working 730-3)and when I got home thinking I could get a couple hours in of studying my daughter wasnt feeling good and the rest is history. I need some time management skills!!!)
I have a lecture and lab test over cardiovascular, blood and blood vessels next Friday. I think I will be OK. Algebra is what is killing me, my average now is 76% lol. My nursing advisor told me to get over it and get a life when I told her that I might retake it in the Fall lol. So, I might just do that, although I hate to see a C on my transcript :uhoh21:
On the bright side, I found out that the nursing program I plan to apply to is 18 months not 24 as I originally thought :)
Well, good luck to you all, I am off to lab to disect a cat some more :)
YAYYYYYYYYY I just found out I passed A&P I with a 99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ranked #3 in my class of 55 students. Now I'm moving on to A&P 2 starting tomorrow on July 8, so count me in for summer II. I will be going W-F 5:30 to 10:00 pm and Sat. 10 - 2 am. Hope I will get time to come in more often to keep in touch with all that is happening.
Will keep my fingers crossed for everyone.
