Someone please tell me if this sounds disquisting. I had lab this morning and we looked over a cadever to look at the different muscles. The entire time all I could think about was food. :chuckle Does that sound weird or what.
LOL!! Wahhhhh I just got over Angel and her chicken meat knee story!! Not too weird but kinda funny! I wonder if this is common. I can't quite imagine feeling that way but who knows .. I'll let ya know! :chair:
How is everyone in our little A&P class doing? Up to your eyeballs in studying, no doubt!! I have my first exam next Friday ... YIKES!!

It's my birthday today!! I found out this a.m. that I got the highest mark in my first exam in my other on-campus course so I'm happy! Over that first-exam-back-after-twenty-years bump!!! Yeehaw!! So .. ha' buh day me!!!

This aft. I'm going back to the library to do some more A&P reading. Fun stuff!! Muscles today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAREN!!! :balloons: :hbsmiley:  Today is my younger brother's birthday too!

Congrats on the skeleton! LOL Thanks to Fun2Care's post about hers, I'm going to be getting one soon too...finally convinced the hubby! He was against it at first...said he'd be too worried of going to the bathroom in the middle of the night and not remembering there's a skeleton in our bedroom and then screaming or freaking out! :lol2:

BTW...don't worry, we're in the same boat here. I have a big exam on the skeletal system and the muscular system next Tues. There's only -->SO MUCH

Mr. Bones is really cute ;) that is very neat. Where did you get him at?? and how much (if you don't mind me asking) it will come in handy while in medical school, you always have it to refer to.

ok, you know your studying too hard when you have dreams of studying :D I'm soo tired today cuz I literally dreamt about freaking A & P....how funny :)

well I gotta go get ready I have to be to class at 9...see you later!

Oh, I've been dreaming about all the muscles for the past few nights!! I've actually caught myself waking up in the middle of the night mumbling, "Latissimus dorsi!" or "Brachialis!" This class is overtaking our lives, I tell you! :smackingf

BTW, have you guys seen this new smiley? It freakin' cracks me up!! --> :biere:

You kind of gave me a "Harry Potter" moment there. Don't blame me if you wake up in Diagon Alley!! Oi, don't tell me about the muscles .. I am going to start them in the lab tomorrow but it's not on our midterm next week so I'm not going to go through the whole lab (I think it's three sections in our lab book) tomorrow but cut off half way (or give myself a time limit at least!) and go study in the library. Tomorrow is a kind of catch-up lab anyway, of which I am going to take advantage!

AWESOME that you're getting a bag o' bones too!!! Too fun! My parents were very impressed last night. My mom was lamenting on how much she has forgotten (she is a retired O.T.) but I reminded her just how much there IS to forget!!

Sounds like you have both been dreaming the same dreams! It's suprising how much actually solidifies over night. In fact, I heard a news article about how you shouldn't drink immediately before bed because you will not get to the rem stage and, therefore, forgo the rehearsal time of that sleep stage. Guess that goes for meds too. Anyhoo .... LOL One guy told me a few years ago when I was having sleep troubles that I should just keep the whisky bottle on my night table ... hahaha guess I can't do that right now!

Okay, so what am I babbling on about anyway? Yeesh. I had choir tonight and left early to pick up my dd from work and then when I got home, I felt in my pocket and realized that I hadn't paid for my haircut/colour this afternoon. TALK ABOUT A HOT HAIRCUT!!!!!! Oh brother. I really AM losing it!

Oh yeah, anyway, carebear, I think they paid something like $100 (Canadian) for him but I know some places on the 'net had him for less (U.S.). They were sooo impressed because they called the University of Manitoba bookstore and they were VERY helpful re what I would be able to use, etc. Then they ordered it (around 1:00) and it was here on the bus by 4:00 (for $6). I couldn't believe it!!! (we live 2 hours away from U of M) Anyway, I stuck him on the table tonight (they say it's tabletop but that's pushing it lol) and held hands with him last night when I put him beside my bed. LOL Kinky!!!

How did the lab test go, btw?? Hope it was great!!

for a moment I read "U of M" I was like I only live 45 min. away from there :chuckle then I re-read what you wrote and realized you meant manitoba :)

THat isn't a bad price. I should get me one.

Thanks for the info.

LAb test wasn't too bad, I only missed 2. So not bad. :)

Pressure's on for the big test next week. I have to put earplugs in so I don't catch people's negativity. LOL

I just thought maybe I shouldn't have named my skeleton Frodo because Frodo obviously still lives!! LOL :coollook:

You know what I hate? The day of a test...when everyone's discussing the subject right beforehand. You know, asking each other last minute questions about certain things that will be on the test. I CAN'T STAND that!! It's like...DON'T CONFUSE ME! I've got everything perfectly organized and memorized in my brain right now. Or, when people are discussing the test afterward..."what did you put for this question or that question?"

Before a test, I like the info. to just sink into my brain and sit there. I don't like to review anything last minute. After a test, don't talk to me about it...because I'm going home to have a Bailey's on the rocks! :chuckle

Call him "tiny lil' man" or "mini man" or "lil' lil' man" or "shorty" "lil' hercules"

" micro hulk" ....c'mon guys you gotta help me out here, we need a cool name for Frodo. And don't forget to get him XXXS thongues :chuckle

I totally agree! You know something funny? I was at the lab an hour early and some people were talking about -- I guess -- A&P and it honestly didn't even sound like the same subject!!! LOL! I am tolerably sure it was .. and they were talking about having a big A&P study party (personally that sounds like a nightmare to me, but that's just me and my own way to study) and stuff.

Anyway, I just kept going on my own! My study partner wasn't there today so we are going through it tomorrow.

After lab (I stayed for about 1.5 hours, counting my hour early), I went to the library and started my muscles lab there and then moved on to read the text for tomorrow's lecture and then study. I was there for just under 3 hours -- too long to actually be useful but I did take a short couple of walks in there. Near the end I was just feeling like, "OH MAN, I'm going to fail." LOL Oh well .. I have a slight system overload at the moment!
