Hi Kokoy! The usual offer of appointment from POEA is 2years but when you get to Saudi, to your hospital employer, they will give you the actual contract. It will be a contract for 1year and renewable and they will also state the salary you'll get, it's either you get the rate they offered to you or they would increase it (within 3 - 4months) as it depends on the Hospital director coordinating with their gov't but surely would not be reduced.

If I am not mistaken, MOH nurses are assigned on tertiary hospitals, dispensary/ community health clinics while HOP are assigned on hospital base only. MOH has regular every 6months or yearly salary increment (not much though) but better benefits (longer vacation). HOP are subcontract and would not have a regular increase of salary and will be stated on the actual contract you'll recieve.

With regards to NOC (No Objection Certificate) issuance, they usually won't issue NOC if you would work for only a year (11months) but you'll be able to get a Certificate of Employment. And request for it with your resignation letter. Some hospitals would issue NOC if you have worked for 2years or more with them.

Plane ticket to get home would also be provided by your hospital employer even if you finish a 1year contract only but of course they would want you to stay there for as long as you can. ;)

And with Departure, you first need to comply with all the requirements like the medical, visa payment, pdos (pre departure orientation seminar) etc and usually you'll be able to leave within 2months from the time you get the Offer of Appointment.

Hmmm, I hope i have answered your questions. Good luck and Bon voyage

Hi there! Newbie here!...it seems you know everything about the contract here in MOH or HOP...I am under MOH-HOP, and a bit confused with the contract I signed in the Phil and here in Moderia...Which contract is to be followed?...I'm new here in Saudi, and I decided not to finish my 2 year contract, is this possible?...How many months should I notify them for my resignation?...Should it be in English or Arabic translation?...I hope you can advise me...:o

Hi! Newbie here...I'm under MOH-HOP and a bit confused with the contract I signed in the Philippines, which is 2 years and others says the contract that we signed here in Moderia is 1 year....Which contract should be followed, because I'm planning to resign after my 11 month of service here....How many months should I notify them for my resignation...Can I still get a employment certificate even though i did not finish the 2 year contract?

Your contract that will be followed is the one that is signed in Moderia.

You will need to discuss with them directly your wishing to leave the contract early and also be aware that they do not need to furnish a flight home for you either if you leave early. It is no longer their responsibility, but the cost will be 100% yours in most cases.

Even if you complete the one year of the contract that you signed, if in fact that it is for only one year, then you get a certificate of employment for that year. But if you cut it short for any reason, then they are not obligated to provide you with anything.

I suggest that you find out what other fees that you are going to need to pay if you leave your contract before the year is up. You may find that your wants are going to cost you a lot of money and strand you in a foreign country.

You leave early from whatever you signed there, and they do not need to pay for your expenses home, or anything else.

Hi! plsss.. I need help.... I am a nurse w/o experience...

I went to POEA today I submit all the requirements for MOH-KSA,

After encoding I go back to the window M and they give back all my requirements. They told me that I need to go to Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia for SRO but I notice that for some applicants they don't give back their requirements.

They told them that they will just call them.

I'm confused why did they send me directly to the Embassy?

What am I going to do there?

Does that mean I'm already for interview?

Can anybody help me... ASAP...

I think you're not yet for an interview... it means that you will directly submit your requirements in the embassy of Saudi Arabia at Makati...

like a walk-in applicant...

Maybe they will assess your papers first then if it is okay you will have to wait for a text message or a letter that you've been scheduled for an interview... then that's it... viola! :D

Or just talk to the lady at window 4 at the embassy of Saudi Arabia to know what you'll going to do next.

Thank you very much nikka for the reply.....Godbless.

Hello it's me again.....:nurse:

I already received my offer of appointment and it says there that I have to process my travel document within 1 month from the date of issuance of my offer of appointment, and failure on my part to meet this deadline will mean automatic cancellation of my application. :(

Right now I have a big problem because the authentication of my diploma and official transcript of records takes more than a month to process according to my school. So it means I can't make it before my deadline.

I would like to know if anyone here knew a person cancel his/her application by SRO because he/she didn't met the deadline? :crying2:

thank you!...

Hi... I'm a bit curious who told you to go directly to the embassy.

Were you able to ask them why?

Is your board rating above 85% by any chance?

I think the reason why she was asked to go directly to SRO is that at the time she was submitting all the requirements to POEA, there's already an ongoing interview happening at SRO. So instead of waiting for the text message for a scheduled interview, the officer who receives the doc in POEA probably told her to go there as walk-in applicant. I think they do not ask for the rating, just passed or failed.
