This is what I went through when I applied in Saudi: 1. Submitted requirements to POEA window M. (TOR,Diploma,PRC Rating and Lic.card/ID., Passport, NBI, High School Diploma,All are photocopy only, Plus 6 pcs. 2x2 pictures, Resume) 2. Wait for a text message for an interview schedule or you may go to SRO as walk-in applicant. If walk-in, you will be given a schedule for interview.I went to SRO and was interviewed the next day. 3. Passed the interview and waited for Letter of Appointment. When you were given the LOA it has an attached sheet of paper with all the instructions you will follow. Just read it thoroughly and you'll never go wrong. With regards to whether they accept male nurses, just go to poea and ask them directly. No info on that eh.

Who's to blame for having oversupply of nurses here???...
1. Ourselves 2. Relatives 3. Government 4. Schools 5. Media (T.V., Advertisements on Broadsheets) I choose myself, why??? for believing on news on T.V.that there is a huge shortage of nurses and easily get carried by the vast amount of advertisements saying I'll have a great opportunity coming to U.S.. Assuming that graduating only as a BSN and passing the NLE and NCLEX is enough. I am also blaming myself for listening to C.I.s and lecturers and those in review centers with their sweet words which just gives us false hope. You... what is your story... do you blame yourself? This is the reality i am facing now... If only... lot's of it...

I never heard that news so I can not really comment on that. I was told to wait for their text message last January 27, and saw my name posted February 27 with other applicants with ticket. I am still waiting for the text message for departure date.

I think the reason why she was asked to go directly to SRO is that at the time she was submitting all the requirements to POEA, there's already an ongoing interview happening at SRO. So instead of waiting for the text message for a scheduled interview, the officer who receives the doc in POEA probably told her to go there as walk-in applicant. I think they do not ask for the rating, just passed or failed.
