gemerald ,one year renewable as I told you earlier and if you heard more than that so it's not MOH.,about the exam SAUDI COUNCIL sooooooooo basic need not to study. Trust me

CassieRN, how much is the starting salary for those who have no hospital experience? I thought it's a 2 year contract but you are entitled to a 45 day vacation after a year of your contract? Please share info because I know there are a lot of us who are interested. Thank you.

I have a friend who's already working w/ MOH, she said the contract is renewable yearly, even if you sign a two year contract here in Manila, once you'll get there, it's up to you if you wanna renew it for another year. The starting salary rate depends on what hospital you'll be placed, but I think it's much better in poea because no salary deduction at all.

I wanna apply there too. However, someone from poea told me that I'm not qualified because I'm only 21. Huhu. I'm just waiting for my 22nd birthday (February next year) then I'll try again. Anyways, yes my friend who's already working there told me that the contract of KSA_MOH is 1 year (with all the yummy benefits like housing, food and plane tickets).

Thank you very for all the information.

Hello! I am June 2007 NLE passer and still has no work. I'm eyeing to work in Saudi Arabia and have tried inquiring in several agencies. Do they still accept new nurses without experience? Please enlighten me on this. Thanks.

Most of the agencies requires for experience, but in POEA they accept new grads.

Hey I am a new grad and I really don't have any idea about going to POEA or whom to talk to if I go there. Can you please give me some info about the procedures in POEA because I've been hearing a lot of not so good things that are happening there. Thanks.

Hi, working in a Saudi MOH hospital was good for me. It is lonely but at least you get to go home every 11 mos and it is a paid holiday. Most of the MOH hospital have many Filipino nurses so you'll get a lot of support. I learned a lot there and it was in Saudi that I realized i wanted to become a CCU nurse. So I am a cardiac nurse now working in UK.

Go to POEA window S or T that was where I went. Everything is paid by the Saudi government.

The best thing to do is visit poea and approach one of the windows on the left side upon entering the premises.(unless they changed offices) you may want to inquire abt your interest to apply as a nurse in KSA. They are very helpful. They would give you a list of requirements to accomplish and would require you to submit two sets of the said requirements in a chronological order (I mean according to the list). That would include your resume with job descriptions, otr, trainings, college and high school diploma, sets of 2x2 pictures. (but please refer to the list they would give you)

KSA could be a good training ground with pay rather than serving as a volunteer nurse in the phils ( this is just a personal opinion).
