Interesting. At the elementary school level I find the majority of drama queens to be girls. (As well as the top seeded frequent flyers.)

I agree with your observation, however, the few male frequent flyers that I do have are WAY more persistent than any of the girls!
As for the ManFlu, on the rare occasion that my husband gets sick, it's always the way-worse-than-anything-any-female-has-ever-experienced variety.

My wife always says that the only way she will find out anything is wrong with me is from the autopsy findings. Most of our friends concur that husbands suffer in silence. Media perception is strong in you all.

This is true! Media and gender stereotypes have negative effects on both men and women. That is why feminism is good for all of us :)
A tendency to be dramatic can be true for men or women. My ex husband was (is) pretty much the most dramatic person I've ever met. Every single thing was a life altering experience. Cold= 4 days off work. If anyone in a 2 mile radius of him was feeling ill, he would almost immediately begin to feel the same symptoms (even if it was later revealed that the symptoms were a result of something he could never have caught such as allergies or morning sickness).
I also have met plenty of men that will power through the strongest of symptoms.
I stand by my anecdotal and funny as hell links.

I like feminism, especially when there are women involved.
One of my frequent flyers is a male...the principal! He was in this morning knocking on death's door.

Boston, in your rage, you over ellipsed. Manflu, flouncing, and now this. Do I have to kick you off that pedestal?

I don't know if I'd call it manflu but my dear hubby insists that I am some kind of typhoid Mary. Every little sniffle he blames on me. It must be some germ I brought home from work despite the fact that I am absolutely fine. I've pretty much given up.
