My kids are #4 on the waiting list at the daycare here on base, so i'm sure they'll get in by January. So that takes my mind off of things.

My next thing is to decide whether to join the Navy and have them pay for school. Decisions...decisions...

smattles- YAY!!!! Congratulations, so happy for you! Hopefully I'll get that same letter from MUSC in a year. You'll have to keep us posted on how MUSC is!!! I can't believe I haven't logged on here in a couple of days to hear your news. :) Way to go!!!

No, I didn't have an interview. Just an essay and 3 letters of recommendation.

thats really great congratulations! We can't even think about applying until we have completed and waited one full semester of pre reqs, I am playing to finish in the spring of 07 so I can apply in fall of 07 for spring of 08. I too have to worry about child care but I am not even thinking about that now I am just doing the work and hope that everything will work out in the end!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I BELIEVE LIFE HAS A WAY OF WORKING ITSELF OUT AND U WILL FIGURE OUT DAYCARE 4 YOUR KIDS. WHEN I GOT ACCEPTED 2 YEARS AGO I WAS WORRIED ALSO BUT IT WORKED OUT AND NOW I'M GONNA GRADUATE IN DECEMBER. IT HASN'T BEEN AN EASY ROAD BUT MY FAMILY AND I HAVE SURVIVED SO FAR, SO WILL U.

It seems as though many of us have the same obstacles with childcare. I'm glad we all took a leap of faith and went forward...there is never the perfect time, you just have to keep moving toward your goal and find away around or over the roadblocks. I think for me, just affording childcare is going to be a huge problem, not to mention that my 20mo. old son is diabetic so I worry about him being away from me. I know i'll find a way to make it work though. It's only two short (loooongg) years!!

Ok thanks. phew! I've been waiting by the phone for that interview call. It was tortuous! I don't know when I'm supposed to hear either way. I think I'll know at the most by October 15th. I sent in my application Sept. 11, and all my references got in literally by the deadline. I have am taking my last class right now, Astronomy 102, at Trident. I've got a 3.9 GPA, did the best I could on my essay, but my GRE scores were blah, ooh well. If not Spring, I'll reapply.
