I've had two interviews recently for nursing school, both for ADN programs. My best advice would be to dress business casual. So basically just nice pants/skirt with a blouse or a dress. Try and wear something that you'll still be comfortable in though as there's nothing worse than being nervous about the interview and uncomfortable in what you're wearing. Good luck with your interview and congratulations on getting into the program!!

When I interviewed for my program I wore a black business suit with a blue shirt. It's my interview suit I always wore to job interviews, and it's kind of my default when I'm unsure how to dress. I guess it worked - the director didn't bat an eye at what I wore and I was accepted. I would say anything professional would be fine. Bayley is right - you have to be comfortable and confident in what you chose to wear. Good luck! :yeah:

I'm confused -- you're getting interviewed after you've already been accepted? What is the purpose of the interview?

Since you're already accepted, I would not "dress up" as much as I would for an interview that would determine whether or not they were going to take me, but I still would not go any more casual than "business casual"-type attire -- dress slacks with a nice, tailored top (and I, personally, would wear a jacket, but that's just me), "sensible" shoes. No jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, cleavage or midriff showing, etc.

You can always dress more casually once you have a better feel for the general atmosphere of your school, but it would be a shame to start off on the wrong foot. :)

I went on one interview so far and I wore a 3 quarter black (loose fitting)pencil skirt dress shirt and blazer the chairperson said "wow you look very nice" and I was actually very glad she noticed. Maybe that helped me stand out.

I have been tentatively accepted to another college, and my acceptance is based on my interview. Soo i went to H&M got some business pants, bought another dress shirt and depending on the weather that day I might throw on a blazer or vest orrrrr nothing at all ( i mean just the dress shirt lol)

People just remember, a nice strong handshake! Everyone is so surprised when i actually use slight pressure

I agree with Csantos, be yourself. Shake off your nervousness and try to be enthusiastic and at ease. Confidence is always a plus at an interview!
