What books did you use? Have any of you taken A&P with a textbook that you really liked (if that is possible lol)? In other words, has anybody Found an easy to read book that you enjoyed using during one of your classes? Right now I'm taking A&P and I hate the textbook we are using And are contemplating buying an additional book. Any feedback would be appreciated thank you!

Specializes in Psychiatry.

We used the Marieb book, and I found it easy to understand. The visuals and diagrams are fantastic. I also utilized the A&P book from the Reviews & Rationales series and found that helpful as well.

Holes Human Anatomy and Physiology.... It was part of the McGraw Hill online course.

I forgot to add, the book was easy to follow.

We used holes also. The online quizzes/games/outlines were EXTREMELY helpful!

Gosh, we used the Martini A&P book and it was HORRIBLE. I hated it!

I find the Tortora A&P book to be a much easier read, nicely organized and highlights all the right concepts.

Amazon.com: Anatomy & Physiology: The Unity of Form and Function (9780073378251): Kenneth Saladin: Books We used this and I actually -really- enjoyed it. In addition to our text, I bought "Physiology Demystified" and thought it was pretty helpful, too.

It depends ok...everything is not about the textbooks. .I passed my ap1 &2 this summers with A's and I didnt open the textbook..seriously, what I did is to first ask the professors how they set their questions and whether everything I need is on the powerpoint slides and syllabus. .thats it..but it is not easy..dont get it twisted. All I am saying dont just waste money on the textbooks which are abt 200 plus on something you might not use

Thanks everyone! Ill be looking into checking out those books soon!

My Anatomy class had a text however, I never opened it and got an A.

My professor had a guided notes resource she wrote that told us everything we needed to know.

We used Tortora and was really easy to read. Got an A in the class and we using it for a and p 2 :). Most of our tests and midterm however was from lecture notes.
