Graduated in May, took exam 7/24 passed in 75q. Used only Uworld! Agree with above post that you need to have basic content mastered. Good luck!!!

Passed NCLEX in 75 questions
I promised myself that I would post about my NCLEX experience if I passed and share what helped me in doing so. I graduated in May 2017 and then did a internship for 4 weeks while waiting for my test date to arrive. This proved to be an invaluable experience in itself. The materials that I used to study were simple. UWORLD. That's it! I did really well in nursing school so all I really needed was to practice NCLEX questions as much as possible. I did all questions in UWORLD except 200. I did about 100 a day and started in March while still in the program. The rationales is what really sets UWORLD apart from other programs. My school used ATI and I did not feel the rationales were as good as UWORLD's were. I also used Saunders a little bit for areas that I was weak in but not much. I took my exam 2 months after graduation and passed in 75 questions in just over an hour. So my bits of advice are these: , UWORLD, UWORLD and test asap after graduation, and Saunders for areas that need review. That's it in a nutshell. Good Luck to those that are taking the NCLEX and just go into the exam knowing that you got this!!
- How old were you when you started nursing school?

Ok Class of 2017, Where are you??
Week 3 over. So far we have had 2 quizzes in Foundations and an exam. In Pharm, we have had only a pop quiz but our first exam is coming up. We have already had our clinical orientation and we start seeing clients next week. So excited and nervous at the same time about this:))) Let's all keep moving forward! We can do this!!!

How old is too old?
I am 44 and asked this very question 3 years ago when I was getting ready to start my prereqs. Someone told me then that in three years I would be 44 years old. That wasn't going to change but starting my prereqs would change my life. Sure enough, three years later I am 4 4, but because I DID choose to do my prereqs back then and worked hard, I just got accepted into the ADN Program at my CC. Either way I was going to become 44 but by choosing to do by prereqs back then, I am one step closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming a nurse. Let no one come between you and your dreams!!

General Eds... pre-nursing student... am I crazy?!
I agree with the above post. I also use different colors for each class and write down when all assignments are due. I star and highlight when tests are so I have plenty of study time. Good luck in your new endeavor:D
