Pre-Reqs and Supporting classes COMPLETE!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have now completed ALL of my ADN pre-reqs and ALL of the supporting courses!!

Here are my grades:

Pre-Reqs:

Anatomy & Physiology 1: A

Psychology: A

Comp. English: A

College Algebra: B

Supporting Courses:

Anatomy & Physiology 2: A

Microbiology: A

Speech: A

Developmental Psychology: A

Elective (American Lit): B

For the Fall '05 class, the acceptance GPA cut-off was 3.77 with only 11 credits of support classes completed.

If I figured it out correctly, I'll be applying with a 3.77 for the pre-reqs, and I'll have all 17 credits of support classes completed, with a GPA 3.82 (for the support classes.)

I'm not posting this to brag because I know there are many with higher grades than I have. I am just so excited, I had to share it with everyone!!!!

I'll have my physical, last HepB, and PPD on the 29th of August. Then I'll make copies of each, and put the originals in the envelope. Then I have to decide to mail the application in, or go directly to the school and hand deliver it.

(Has anyone ever had a problem with just mailing their application?? I'm almost scared it will get lost in the mail!!)

I'm taking a break for the fall. I feel I may need a break before starting the RN program in JANUARY '06!! If I don't get in, I'm not sure what I'll do. (I guess get a job or something, and wait.) lol

ANYWAY, I AM FINISHED!!! I AM READY TO GET ACCEPTED IN THE NURSING PROGRAM, AND ONLY HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE NURSING COURSES & CLINCALS!!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!

I can tell you the ONLY way I passed Algebra in high school was b/c a friend of mine would check my homework everyday. He would show me what I did wrong. He was killed in a car wreck right before Christmas vacation. I made a promise to myself I would pull through...I don't remember what I made a B or a C, but I passed for the year.

The CDs were a blessing in disguise! I never understood most of the Algebra stuff until I took the online class! I don't feel as scared about Algebra now, but I don't want to take the chance of taking it over. (Unless I have to!)

Did y'all do well? I love the CDs! As for Calculus....why do you have to take that? YUCK!!!!!

SunnyJohn....are you male or female? Getting tired of wondering. lol

OK, coffee is kicking in....I think I need to go run around the block 20 times....lol I'm usually not a coffee drinker! hahahhahaha

Hehe,

I'm a girl. My username always messes folks up.

Those CD's were a God-send. I woud play a topic over and over until I got it. It really helped me finally understand the concepts. I was able to see everything worked out. I started with Intermediate Algebra to brush up on the basic concepts, then I took College Algebra. I Got a B in Intermediate and squeezed an A in College algebra.

I need Calculus for my MPH.

Specializes in ante/postpartum, baby RN.

Did y'all do well?

I got A, because I practised a lot and I did finish all the extra credit questions and homework.

Congrats, Sunnyjohn & LKG6!! So, if I need help on dosage calculations, I know where to go!!! lol

Did y'all have Thompson? She was such a nice person. My grandfather got sick at the beginning of the semester, and I had to go out of town. She dealt with me on that. Then towards the end, he passed away. She dealt with me on that as well. Many instructors would not have...I could have easily made a C or worse.

I don't think I could have made an A, maybe if I repeated it back to back I could. lol NO THANKS!!!! I kept the book & CDs, they are in storage. Maybe I should pull it out and review...probably never hurts to know what X equals for sure.....lmao

Less than 2 months until the *happy* letters are sent out to all of us!!!!
