I'm curious. I'm 22 but I'm struggling in anatomy and really don't know what else to do. I feel like maybe if I work a little bit and save up my money I can come back at another time and go back to school. I thought about becoming a cna?

Well I hope 25-30 isn't too old...I'm 43 and currently in my last semester of my LPN to ADN program. :)

No, 25-30 isn't too old. I have fellow students in my class who are young enough to be my daughters/sons (late teen/early 20's) and others who are older than me.

The average age in my class is early 30's.

At 1st i thought it was too old because i had this whole age thing planned out, graduate high school @ 18, graduate nursing school @ 22, married @ 23, kids @ 24 & be set my 30 the whole 9 yards & here i am AT 29 & HAVE NONE OF THE ABOVE!lol im in my 2nd semester of LPN school! I'll be finished next July(2013) & i'll also be the BIG 30 & will work for a year & then bridge. I was in college taking classes here & there flunking etc & now that im older, i realize that the things i was doing, i was ready for nursing school then like i am now, i have time to focus & study. my instructor is 61 & just finished her MSN SO In my eyes, YOUR NEVER TOO OLD TO PURSUE & FINISH YOUR DREAMS! I have my days when i get upset at myself or a lil jealous of others that are my age & they have been a nurse for 6yrs w/2 kids, working on their MSN & im starting at the bottom working my way up the nursing pole BUT it only last for a min. JUST REMEMBER IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT AGE YOU START OR FINISH AS LONG AS YOU FINISH WETHER ITS 22 OR 62 & BESIDES YOUR DEGREE WONT HAVE YOUR AGE ON IT ANYWAY! good luck & live your dream

I'm 26 and won't be starting my ASN program until Jan! I started bouncing all around in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do and finally found nursing! I plan to eventually become a nurse practitioner so I'll be well over 30 when I'm done! It's all possible and good luck!

What/??? I'm 45 and start my first semester of Nursing School in January (by which time I will be 46). You young whipper snappers with your crazy ideas. ;)

I'm 27 and was just accepted into a 2 year RN program for January. I'm married with 3 kids. I'll graduate 5 months before I turn 30. So no, it's not too late!! I even have people in my class who are 10 years older than me.

Another 40 something here going for her degree. Will be 44 by the time I'm a nurse. I figure that gives me 20-25 good years of working in the profession.

I started my prerequisites two years ago and work full time. I am entering the nursing program for my BSN degree. I am 59 years old. I don't think you are ever too old to pursue your dream.

I'm 33 married with two kids. Hopefully I will be in someone's program in the summer. I want to be a CRNA by the time this happens I will knocking on 40's door.

I'm 26, have been in college forever and was in my senior of my degree and switched to Nursing and started from the beginning again. So no, it's not too late. If you are struggling with anatomy, get extra help from tutoring or learn by searching on you tube of lectures. Anatomy was tough, but my instructor was one of the best instructors I've ever had, so it was easy to understand. Study hard because Nursing classes make anatomy look easy. Good luck.
