1st A&P Tests!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

In some of the various Anatomy Discussions topics, some of us have posted stating we don't know how we'll feel until we take that first test! Most of us should have taken it by now this semester...so, how'd you do?!

I was so nervous for the fact that I could never remember one time I had taken it a test over THREE chapters at one time, not to mention containing Chemistry...I've always been running scared from that messy stuff! All in all, I studied my behind off and pulled off an 85! It was 60 questions, that was nerve-racking and a bit relieving at the same time, meaning I had a tiny bit of breathing room, with it being more questions. I was really aiming for an A, but there's only so much studying you can do...if I went on anymore, I probably would have choked once the test was handed to me. I kept beating myself up, feeling like everyone probably did better than I did, but I heard a lot of talk from people, about how they made a 70 or a few points higher...it seems mean, but it made me feel a little better. :o

I hope all of you did well!

I did my first A&P exam last week and I did horrible

The Lab Exam portion I did the worst on...The lecture exam was easier.

I read the book and highlight, I take notes in lecture, I make flashcards of key terms, I utilize the online goodies that my textbook offers for free...WHY isn't my grade at LEAST a B? Does anyone have study tips??

I took my first A&P exam this past Monday. It covered 3 chapters – intro/body regions, chemistry, & the cell. It was a 100 question test with the opportunity for 20 bonus points. I missed 9 of the original exam questions, but made up for it with 16 bonus points for a total score of 107. I also got the highest score of my class. Love it!

Great job!!! An 85 is an excellent grade on anything - especially A&P!

Our A&P professor tested us over 4 chapters, and the lecture AND lab test was 80 questions. I thought I had prepared well, but apparently not because I got a 67 on the lecture and 22 on the lab. I am going back to retake the lab test, he won't allow us to retest the lecture exam. Our professor gave us a study guide and I studied everything on it, but there were only a couple of questions on the test that were actually on the study guide! The class average was low, a 50 something I believe. Our professor could tell we were ALL having trouble, even those of us who are A students, so hes assigned us 3 chapters instead of 4 for the next test, and HOPEFULLY there will be less than 80 questions.

Even the girl who made 110 on the test, told the professor that his study guide didn't seem to have anything to do with the actual test and she expected something totally different.

I'm so irritated about this. I sit in the front of the class, take notes, read and highlight, make flashcards, etc. I have increased my studying time from 1 hour to 2-3 hours a day, hopefully that will give me a good grade on the next test!!!

I got a 96 on my footage A&P exam. We just took our second one and got a 90. So far so good! Just glad to be done with chemistry and cells and stuff. Give me the organ systems any day, lol! Great to see so many great grades. Everybody keep up the awesome work!

Well I got a 98 on my lecture and I got a 109 on my lab we covered four chapters on skeletal system. I did study hard for this class and my other three class which I received a A on all my test. I hope everyone keeps up the good work. Our class average was 82 but I don't know who had the highest grade. But I am happy with mine:)

I am so happy the semester is almost over! One test left! I have an 98.96% I can't wait for this week to be over! I have an A in all my classes which was very hard but I treated every class like it was a nursing course and a patients life depended on me knowing everything! So psych, socio, anatomy, English and computer class are almost completed two weeks left!!:nurse:

Wow! That is a wonderful grade! Congrats! I know it took a lot of work, but it definitely paid off! Best of luck on your last test! :D

Thank you, this is going to be a busy week finishing paper but I am going to be so happy to relax for Christmas break!

An 85 is a great grade on an A&P test! I've been doing really well in my A&P class too. I've been making 100+ on my tests. (Our tests are usually 75-100 questions with about 8 clinical questions/scenarios). Let me tell ya, it is HARD work...I know....because I am only 25 with two small kids (5 & 2). I am burnt out! I know it will all be worth it in the end tho. That's what I keep telling myself to keep motivated when at times I feel like running screaming through the buildings on campus. LOL. But WE can do this!!

Congrats I am so ready for the next class I hope I get done with a lot of the papers I need to write today, they aren't do till December but I want the time to focus on finals!!! Good luck everyone!

I am a student at KCTCS in Winchester KY. I am looking to network with someone who might have notes on Human Anatomy and Physiology Eighth Edition by Elaine N. Marieb and Katja Hoehn. We have had 3 Lab Instructors and 2 Lecture Instructors this semester and many of students are really struggling. Help would be most appreciated!!!!!
