Legacy RN Versant Residency 2015 Winter

U.S.A. Oregon

Legacy RN Versant Nurse Residency Program, start date February 23, 2015. I just wanted to post this thread, so that those of us who applied for this cohort can communicate about the application process. Did you apply? If so, which unit and location? Have you heard anything yet? Any idea how many applicants applied this time? I hope everyone gets their unit of choice. This is a very tough program, but seems worth the effort. I want to wish everyone the best of luck!

Specializes in Peds, PICU.

This'll be my second time applying for the program. :) I picked Peds/PICU as my top two. I got into final interview round last time but wasn't chosen to interview (boo!). Good luck to everyone!

What GPA do you need to be offered an interview? I know you have to have over a 3.2 for consideration but how close to a 4.0 would an applicant realistically need?

LoiLolly, can you tell us more about the interview processes and types of questions they ask?

shawba08, I don't know what GPA you need. I am between 3.95-4.0

I ended up canceling my interview with them. I really can't afford to fly all the way out there and not get the job. Good luck to all of you.

Why didn't you just do a phone interview for the first one? That's what I'm doing.

I applied to Acute Care Peds, I've heard in most programs like this they really only look at your first choice. Just had my phone interview, I think it went ok, but its hard to tell! Fingers crossed!

Why didn't you just do a phone interview for the first one? That's what I'm doing.

Because I'd have to go there for the second one. I've spent a lot searching for a needle in a haystack already. I'm thisclose to applying to LTC.

Hey all! I am also set to interview on the 13th. :nailbiting:Really excited and very nervous. Legacy is an amazing hospital. I passed the NCLEX in July and I haven't found a job yet, but I am hoping this is my chance to start my career. NewYorkGirl, I understand the feeling about applying for LTC...

Good Luck Everyone!!

I am bummed I missed this application window. I'll keep an eye out for the application period to open again in March or April of next year. Can anyone share what they ask for in the personal statement? Thanks and good luck to all of you on your interviews!

It was on the website (Nurse Residency Program) for awhile but here's the essay question:

Personal Statement (One page maximum - 12pt font single spaced)

Please complete an essay addressing the following question and upload to your profile in

the TAP system: Why do you believe completing a nurse residency program will be

beneficial to your development as a professional nurse?

I don't know if they change it each year

Today are interviews (in person)!! How did everyone do? I hope everyone could make the reschedule! The ice storm was crazy before, so I'm personally happy that they chose to reschedule! I just got back from my interview, and I think it went well. No way to tell for sure. How about everyone else?

Did you login to their website to see if it was accepted? Did you go for an interview today?
