I signed up for March 31st. Kind of freaked that it's so soon, but I'll have started Stats and Spanish in April, so I thought it would be better for me to just study through spring break and have it done with before classes start in April. Good luck! I'll post how it goes after I take it...

OHSU does their invites in rounds -- as primary candidates decline interviews other people will get invites.

OHSU looks at applicants in a very holistic manner -- grades and experience play a large role, but just as important is your community involvement and personal responses to their essay questions.

I'm taking the Kaplan test on the 7th as well at 1:00pm!!! Soooo nervous😬😬 To those who've taken it, is it pretty much like an SAT test? The study guide shows physical science as well as life science but someone else told me that it was just life science/ a&p stuff.. I just want to know what to expect.

I took my test today, and it was nothing like the Kaplan study book they recommended buying :/ it was definitely a lot of A&P, no biology on mine or chemistry. Good luck on your test next week!

I took my test today! It was much different than I expected, in good and bad ways. Didn't have any chemistry or biology questions, math was much simpler than the kaplan book, but a lot of the writing portions were different. asking about verb-subject agreement instead of spelling. Best of luck tomorrow!

What was in the anatomy portion? I have heard it was mostly on cardiovascular and respiratory? Also did the writing have alot of grammer problems?

one of the questions asked the correct route of travel for blood through the heart-lungs-heart-rest of the body, another asked what system controlled the SA node firing, one asked what lobe of the brain controlled thoughts and behavior. the writing had a lot of grammar things asking "is there a comma missing from here?" "which sentence has an incorrect word (doesn't specify spelling, use of the word, etc), "which sentence is redundant" "where would be the best place to add this sentence in to the following narrative", no comparisons like on the SAT (green:grass:: blue:sky) which i thought there would be but oh well.
