hey guys have any of you attended here? or is anyone going to be starting their fast track in jan?? i am and was wanting to hopefully get to talk to you!!

Yep, it is crazy!

It's not that much. I think it is half of that but it is still a lot. Costs me about $1000 a course but with tuition reimbursement at work and taking things slow I am not having to pay out of pocket yet. Our hospital has an affiliation with Grand Canyon and we get a 10% discount so otherwise I guess it would be 1100-1200 a course otherwise, but still not $600+ a credit hour.

I could have sworn that the postcard I received said $645 a credit hour. I checked online, here is the link.

Most private schools are more expensive. I am unsure if they are still private as they were bought out a few years back, but either way, they are very expensive. At least expensive for me. I don't even like paying ASU's tuition, it is high as well, but about $250 less than GCU per credit hour.

legal-thanks for the link! That's just way, way too much money!

I guess that makes more sense since I am taking classes online and the posted rate on your link says $395/credit. I guess traditional classes cost more?

thanks for sharing the information. how much is tuition? i searched their site and could not find it. i remember it being around $500-$600 per credit hour? do they have a few starts and a traditional program also? i am amazed at the no wait. are you going to pursue a start date with them and if you don't mind sharing when you would be starting. i appreciate you sharing the information even if it is a link to information on their website.

i am not sure what the tuition for the traditional program is, but the rn-bsn online program is $395 per credit hour. i am starting in october and so far i have been able to qualify for financial aid. i am hoping that the online program will be ok. if anyone has info on the online program i'd love to hear about it!

I just applied to the online program starting the end of this month (October). Tuition is $395 but Banner employees get 20% off that so it's $316/credit hour.

I applied for financial aid to pay for the classes upfront and then i will turn in my grades for reimbursement and pay my loan off as i go...

Is there anyone out there that has been through the online program? I heard it is pretty intense. One of my fellow RN's at work dropped it because she said you have to jump through hoops all the time. I went to school at Glendale Community College so i think i have the hoop jumping experience down :)

Wow that's great...St Joes only gives us 10% off but they do direct bill so it still works for me. Don't worry about the intensity. I just take one class at a time and it works out fine. Takes a bit longer but easier to work into your life that way. If you need any help when you get going just PM me. I have finished 10 of 15 classes. I think the new program is shorter now than when I started. I don't find you have to jump through hoops at all once you get past the administration issues. I sent in my transcripts and after taking my first class they said they didn't get official ones since my enrollment counselor (who no longer was working there by that time) opened them ....how is that my fault...and then had to provide new ones. I went to 4 colleges since I took pre-reqs at various colleges so was annoyed to have to go through that all over again...ARGH...but since then have really enjoyed the program. The instructors are great!!!! I am also involved with a few committees at work and have two school aged children so have to pace myself through the program and am looking forward to finishing in 2009.

Thanks for the info. I am starting the end of october too. I am relatively new to this forum so could you tell me what "PM" is? Thanks!

Hi! I am starting at the end of October also. I am just now graduating from my ADN program and decided to start the BSN right away. Do you know anyone who is doing the program with you? I can't get anyone in my class to start with me so I'm kinda flying solo. If you want, you can e-mail me and that way we would know someone in the program. :)

I graduate May 02, 2009 from GCU's Fast-track with St. Joes. I would be more than happy to answer any questions people have about the program. I am also an extern at Joes, if you are interested in info on that as well.

I wrote a pretty long post here about GCU (for people thinking about applying)

Good Luck Guys

no. 34 missbehavin i'm not sure how this works with personal e-mails but, i have tons of questions to asked. i've applied for the fast-track at gcu, i'm a active duty air force member, so money isn't a concern for me. what is a concern is i'm a b average student. i already have a degree from wayland baptist. so i've already have all my old and new test classes. i'm coming into this program with 2 c's. how is the work there? did you feel ready for the nclex test. how many student's pass the test the first time?
